I haven't read the rules yet so I'm not sure, I find it hard to read rule books on a computer screen. I'm going to hazard a guess and say it's something like 40k/FoW with d20's instead of d6's.

Well I've finally started doing this army thanks to the release of the Black Powder ruleset. Pretty happy with the first stand I've done, the blue shirts are a touch too light though. Finding it hard to get the right blue that doesn't turn out purplish on a black undercoat. Anyway here it is Blue comparison

Finding it hard to get the right blue they look good mate, how bout mixing in a bit of a medium gray or something to tone it down if you are after that effect. Brett always uses a little blob of bestial brown I think, to give the muted natural colours he uses for fabrics.

I've got a couple of empty pots now so if I can find a good mix then I can keep it. I'm kind of hoping a blue wash might darken it a bit.

Goddamn I hate these faces, they're so bad to paint cause the detail is so crap. I'm getting to a point where I'm not happy with any of the uniform at all. The pants are ok, I could actually use the shade colour as the actual colour and go for something like shadow grey as the shade. I'll paint up a few spares and get some feedback from you gents. Here's what I'm basing my colour scheme off of more or less I think the pants are ok, but as you can see the shirt is much much different, but then the guy who painted these is a pro whereas as I am very very ordinary and it's a decent photo. I've modified the above post with the pic, I took it outside and photographed it and put up a re-enactor as a comparison.

I think the pants work, a wash (actual or watered down paint) would be worth trying. The stains etc on the ones in that pic make them really pop. Details like that really work.
