Here I am with my late entry! I’m basing my entry on my favourite epic tale of fencing ,fighting , murder, revenge and true love. Anyone who knows me knows I like classic books and most would then naturally assume that I’m basing it on the count of Monte Cristo......and you couldn’t be more WRONG!!! HA! Ha!
There is a story I love so much more than that, The Princess Bride!
Yes, I have chosen to base my entry outside of the Warhammer fantasy and 40k universe and instead work on my favourite revenge scene ever.
The scene I have chosen to depict is the one where Inigo the inebriated Spaniard finally tracks down Count Rugen the Six Fingered man after storming the castle and avenges the death of his father, the murdered master sword maker.
It’s a fairly simple scene to recreate and I’ve decided to piece it together mostly from empire militia men parts and in my typical style convert the shit out of them. Tomorrow I will do a little research (AKA sit around watching my favourite movie frame for frame) taking note of hair, clothing and other details necessary to maintain accuracy in my piece.
So far I have begun work on the pieces of the six fingered man. I have combined two different sets of empire militia legs with some green stuff to create a set of kneeling legs, no small feat as positioning of feet required a right foot from one pair of legs, and a left from another, currently they are setting and awaiting detail, as the boots currently don’t match and the knee joints are in need of detail.
I’m in the process of converting some arms which were wielding a crossbow so they appear to be gripping the sword blade sticking out from his chest. This is also quite difficult as I may have to sacrifice some detail to prevent the sword from looking bent and buckled.
If I cut the hands apart, it is likely I will never be able to realign them, if I don’t cut the hands apart, it will be difficult to make the crossbow appear thin enough to be a sword blade. I think it best to work around the hands rather than cut them, it will be harder to add an extra finger if I cut them apart.
note that in the picture the crossbow arms arent shown..
