Okay, decision's made. I'll be basing them with sand/PVA mix syringed on, apply textured paint, wash with a reddish brown and then finish off with static grass, flock and clump foliage...hopefully in the right proportions. The objective marker I made as a trial has come up looking okay so when I can I'll take a piccy & post it.

I appear to be running a week or two late with this update In between expanding my Aussie's (including a little terrain, buildings & extra platoons...) I've actually managed to progress these guys a little further...the next three are on their bases at last: Won't take too long to finish the bases off now...............wait, last time I said something like that was over six months ago ;D ;D

Once again and as always those are very nice looking units!
I have a bunch of trucks that I should paint up for my yanks... The black lining on yours look ace!
Got a currently completed group shot of everything thus far?

Also, sadly, you're looking at the group shot (assuming you're referring to the poms) Nice cut n' paste job for the FoW forums too you dodgy little man ;D I challenge thee to prove it ;D More to the point, you can only copy & paste the text, not the piccy link so technically I'm only half dodgy...

A small crowd is gathering... I think I'm still in a good position to win this challenge too! What's the closing date again?

So having realised that it's taken [glow=red,2,300]14[/glow] months to get 9 bases done I'm gunna try a different angle at horde painting...while keeping the quality. Let's see how I go. Currently have 25 mini's 'nailed', about 1/2 of which are undercoated & had trousers base coated. (deep breath)...here goes...

3x guys completed. 13x 3/4 done. 13x undercoated (pending a black wash). Heaps of progress... & the wet palette's working a treat!

Okay, the 13 above just need camo on their smocks & some washes in places & they'll be done. The other 13 are fully undercoated now, with one (a pathfinder marker) 1/2 painted also. Right then, back to it...
