After the first round of games rivalries have begun to form and passions are running high.
Trashtalk has been firing between the teams and their fans, and it has worked the coaches and their players into a lather. Teams are really fired up to get back on the pitch for week 2.
To represent the motivation of the teams they will receive free skills for this match only. The skills will be given to the entire team, every player. There are several options available for selection, based on the different motivational strategies of each coach. The skills will not be listed until the night, so players can not pick and choose from a list, but rather just choose their strategy for this week from the following. If all the regulars have chosen before tuesday I will post the complete ruleset here, and any new players will choose by d6.
The commish (me) already knows the skills, so will roll a d6 to choose. Any coach who does not choose a strategy before 6pm tuesday will have one chosen randomly by virtue of a d6 roll.
Without further delay the strategies to choose from are:
1 if we can't win fair and square, we'll play dirty 2 play the man, not the ball!! 3 the referee is only one man, there are lots of us... 4 there's nothing wrong with a good honest sledging* 5 we can take whatever they throw at us, bring it on! 6 we'll let the scoreboard do the talking
There are a list of attributes for each of these items, and every player on your team will gain these skills for any and all matches played this week.
WHen you have made up your mind exactly how you intend to fire up your players for this week's games indicate in this thread which strategy you will employ.
Good luck, and let the rivalries begin!! ;D
This will be nothing like any other game of blood bowl you have played, I guarantee!
*I mean trashtalk, not the hammer

1 if we can't win fair and square, we'll play dirty 2 play the man, not the ball!! 3 the referee is only one man, there are lots of us...
Any one of these will do me right!
Alex roll a D3 for me and let me know the result.

Darren has made an example team roster of each race, so he can just use one of those printouts and note all his team changes on there in the future.

Should be a weird and wonderful week. 1 if we can't win fair and square, we'll play dirty Loner the players haven't been training in normal team play this week, so aren't playing together sharply Dirty Player they are however really keen to lay the boot in, and will do so with gusto wrestle if an opponent is still on his feet they'll try to drag him to the ground Piling On and they'll take a cheap shot when they do knock someone over 2 play the man, not the ball No Hands the players have been instructed to ignore the ball completely, they won't ever hold it! Touchdowns are the last thing from their minds. Tackle they've been running tackling drills all week Strip Ball and have become adept at punching the ball loose while tackling Frenzy they'll fervently get stuck into the opposition and go until they get them down Mighty Blow they'll make the most of it when they do get a chance to hit the opposition shadowing and if the opposition try to get away, chase after them! 3 the ref can't stop us all at once, right? Stab The coach has instructed every player will sneak a shiv onto the field with him Secret Weapon but the ref will be rounding everyone up at the end of the drive and sending them off 4 good honest sledging Bone-head when he should be blocking or going after the ball the player will be busy telling the opponent what he got up to with the opponent's mother last night… Disturbing Presence each player spews a constant stream of abuse at the other players, becoming quite off-putting. 5 we can take whatever they throw at us Stand Firm the players will stay their ground, and not give an inch! Jump Up when they do go down they'll pop right back up and give as good as they got Thick Skull they will shake off troubling injuries, and refuse to leave the pitch until they are unconcious 6 we'll let the scoreboard do the talking decay players are focusing so hard on the ball they won't look after their own bodies as they should (they aren't actually decaying however) sprint all the shuttle drills this week are paying off, sure hands and the work with the ball drills means they all get reroll to pick up the ball diving catch they are so focused on the ball they will put their body on the line to grab it

This is gong to be crazy, lol. Question when all my players sneak a shiv on the field when they all get sent off does the coach play the second half? LOL
Or is it just the member that does the knifing?

you might like to sit a few players out in the first half, or the second half could prove interesting. Remember, after sitting out a drive they have a 50% chance of coming back on...

You don't have to field 11 players at the start if you don't want to (special rule to go along with #3 this week).
Looks like there will be 5 of us there at 1800 (including shippy), and Darren late as usual

3 of us will be leaving at around 8 but we should all be able to get a game in (or good part thereof) by that time.
