Oh, you mean you rolled up a D6 for Shippys team theme thingy? I was just wondering why you rolled the D6 is all.... just seemed like something random to put at the start of a sentence. And now I see it makes perfect sense... Letting the scoreboard do the talking was one of the themes. I thought you meant Shippys game was very much likely not to get finished so blah blah blah... Confused me I am very Or was...

Well the BCM took on the Mordhein Manglers in what was the game of the week as there was 23000 at the gate and the word around town was the BCM's were packing heat....... Shiv's!
The game started with the BCM's spliting their team in half as the coach new if the ref got wind of the weapons on the field that game was up. That and the players cant help themselves with sharpening the weapons on the pitch. The kick off went and the first tackle sent the BCM thrower off the pitch with a BH. Hm coach slick says with a "It's gona be one of those games" look on his face. after a a few more hits and some ruff housing there is 5 guys in the KO box from the BCM and 1 from the Mangles. Dam did the Manglers take weapons as well asks slick to one of the marauders that has just been sent off for stabbing.
The play of the week...... and in contest of play of the year go's to the Manglers when a line man puts the boot into the mistaken troll of the humans with help from 4 others. With the dice roll of equal to the armour. But wait the one marauder says ill give you a hand and with his help puts the troll into the dead box for the rest of the game. (With a broken neck! I forgot the injury Lol)
This was the turning point that the BCM's needed, and the help of a change of weapons. Shivs to CHAINSAWS!!! Ha ha ha ha "this will do the trick" said slick as he can only field 3 players for the second half. With Manglers now dropping like flies, Snagrib the gobo picking up the ball and making a run up the right side. He has to dodge in and out, up and down. Lucky that he is only just bigger then the ball or this could just not be possible. In the end BCM's make the TD to draw the game and prepare for the final turns.
As it seems the dice gods where happy with the Manglers armour rolls, they seem not to be looking when they needed anything but a double skull for a block. With no RR's left the BCM's managed to keep the game to a draw. With Snagrib getting the MVP and taking himself to 17 SPP. He now has extra arms and catch. No one has thrown the ball to him yet but he is getting himself ready to one day catch the ball.

that was such a great game, I can't believe the muffins scored with only 3 players on the pitch. The boys from Mordheim were too busy looking for guys on the ground to foul I think they forgot about those on their feet!

Darren will hopefully write another good review of our match, though it wasn't an exciting game, my team was tooled up to do dammage, his team was tooled up to resist dammage- so it was a scrappy, rough smashmouth style game. I had the honour of killing his dead (reraised) player. [I'll have to write up some rules for what this means for the poor zombie darkelf!]
Shippy's Gutter runner (the one that had 5 TDs and a MVP in his first game) is due for two skills, so next week we will see to that. That chap is going to cause some real headaches before his career is over.

Vampires (Fangs for the Memories) Vs Dark ELves (Darek Ravens) Score 0 - 2 to the DR This game as Alex said was a scrappy affair.
With out further delay here is the kick.. DR kick is long and deep, but as the Fangs had no hands for the game they could not field the ball or score. Yipee thought DR coach War-Raven but this would change to frustration as the Fangs encircled the ball, after a few feeble attempts at blitzing the scrum and then trying to pick up the ball in TZ's, the DR coach instructed his players to gang up on 1 player and push him into the ball, thus relying on the scatter template to bounce the ball to a waiting player on the outside of the scrum. After a few turns at doing this the ball did eventually bounce to the outside of the scrum, whereDaxe Doomdemon picked up the ball and with one go for it finally strolled into the endzone. SCORE 0 - 1 DR.
This is how the first half ended.
In the 2nd half the DR coach thought it shoud be easy to score but alas it was not the case as some well timed blitz's and kick to the head left the DR team with 3 in Injured box. Not too worry about that we can take what ever is thrown at us. (He He). The 2nd half overall continued like the first with a scrum around the ball and the Dr team picking on 1 thrall till the ball popped out. This time the ball was at mid field so when the DR Lino picked up the ball he heaved it into the corner of the field where he hoped that some other player would pick it up next turn for the score. fangs turn started with 1 Vamp and 2 thralls moving to surround the ball. It was up to Daxe Dommdemon again with an assist from Xonu Mightywolf he blitzed the nearest thrall, knocked him down, dodged 2 times to get to the ball, picked it up in a TZ, dodge out and scored again.SCORE 0 - 2 DR. On the ensuing kickoff with 2 turns left DR short kicked it, the Fangs then went to encircle the ball again but with the Fangs coach screaming at them to leave 1 square between them and the ball so that the DR's could not push them into theball again. Who said you can not teach new things to the walking dead. Overall it was a fun game, hope to see you all next week.

there's certainly a good lesson learned this game, instead of dodging into the heart of the scrum to try to pick up the ball (while everyone on the other team is trying to take you out), if you kick one of the other guys in the nuts and push him onto the ball it will scatter out of there.
It worked well this week because my players weren't allowed to hold the ball. In a normal game you are giving your opponent a good chance of getting the ball for free during your turn (ie if the ball scatters onto one of HIS guys he gets a free chance to grab it. If he does you are stuffed, as you've probably already used your only blitz to move the guy onto the ball.
Also a rules clarification while talking about such things, if you stay on your feet and get pushed onto the ball, you can't try to pick it up, it will get knocked out of the square.
Dungeonbowl next week, with a slight change from the normal layout.
Teams will all share the same "endzone" Players will all enter the game via the teleporters.
