the week 6 house rules (highest dice roll counts as double) was a wonderful success for me as a GM and game design amateur because I got to see what effect the spells can have when they go off regularly.
I think if we split the difference and made the spells more reliable to cast than they are, but less reliable than they were in week 6 it would be pretty well spot on.
thoughts?

I do not think I have ever used the magic rules in a league game... I may give them a bash in a one off game though sometime soon.
