Greenacre Gamers Presents
DREWPOCALYPSE!!!
There will be a game of Apocalypse on the 5th of September (Sunday).
I repeat.. there will be a game of Apocalypse in early september. This will be played to see off one of our regular gaming buddies who will be disappearing for a while. You all know Drew. He is a cheat, a liar and dead to me but also an all round good guy. In order to honor his temporary departure the game will be named after him: Drewpocalypse hahahahaha.
As with all events there will be a small fee of $12 with all players on the winning side recieving the coveted yellow tags!
There will be no points limit on what you can bring to the table and we will be using my patented Apocalypse turn time limitations*.
This will be a big day of gaming as Apocalypse games usually are. Everyones welcome as long as you get one of the 20 available spots!
This will also double as a test run of the format to be used in code name: 'ultra-mega-superpocalypse'. Thats right 'ultra-mega-superpocalypse'.
(details of this event will be discussed on the day, make sure you are sitting down at the time of it's full disclosure!)
MORE INFORMATION
1. This game will take place on a large 'I' shaped table that is 20ft long and 6ft wide at either end. The middle 12ft will only be 4ft wide.
2. The deployment zones will be of equal size. The good guys deployment zone will encompass all of the ruined city buildings. bastions and defense lines.
The bad guys will hold a large mountain in their deployment zone, some smaller hills and a comms station.
3. There will be 6 objective points scattered across the table as follows:
1) The Goliath Mountain Range (represented by the large hill from the ROB scenery board and a few placable hills) Starts in the hands of the bad guys. All Ordonance/barrage/artillery weapons ranges are doubled when fired from this mountain range.
Worth 2 points to the good guys at the end of the game if they hold it. Worth one point to the bad guys.
2+3)Bastion 1 (Troubadour)+2 (Bellows). Regular bastion rules. Weapons are usable by whoever holds it. Bastions are worth 1 point to whoever holds them at the end of the battle. These start off in the good deployment zone.
4) Comms Relay Station. Whoever controls this can reroll reserve rolls while they control it. This buff applies to everyone on your team. Starts off in the bad guys hands. This is worth 3 points to the good guys and 2 points to the bad guys.
5) Portal. Team wide abiity. If the bad guys control this then they may use it as a table edge for deploying reserves, outflanking etc. Starts off in the good guys hands. Worth 1 point to the good guys and 2 points to the bad guys.
6) City. Starts in the hands of the good guys. All buildings offer a 4+cover save. These sections of the tables act as per the table quarters rules in 40k with each quarter being worth 1 point to either side.
4. Each phase will have a time limit as will be discussed on the day. It is very unlikely that players with larger armies will be able to use al their stuff each turn. It is important that you think about what you want to acheive each turn and prioritise what you will do accordingly.
5. The game will have at least 4 turns and deending on time may go for more...
6. The good guys defending the city wi have a slightly lower combined points limit.
* this has in no way, shape or form been patented in any way.
