Bring along your new team to try it out.
Each player has 1,150,000gp to spend on their team, except Guppy and my self, who have 1,250,000gp to spend.
This means you will probably start with a team rating of around 115.
Also note that you can buy team equipment and team assistant coaches.
And upgrade any 0-16 player to spell casters (e.g. lineman) for double cost.

Also if you want to convert up a player with a special weapon i will make up rules for it to represent your conversion in the blood bowl world.
Teams won't start acruing star player points, fan factor or injuries until the season starts, so you can change your roster each week until you find a mix you like. Also it means there's no stress if you miss the preseason games.
At the end of preseason practice games (in a few weeks time) we will have an all in dungeonbowl game with triple star player points- so get your miniatures out and start drawing up a team.
I have about a dozen different teams that people are able to borrow if you don't have your own. Conversions, proxies, nonGW minis are all allowed.
Given the 115 team rating starting point this preseason is a perfect chance to practice for southern shrike bowl!
