saturday and sunday 21st and 22nd of august
A few of us are already signed up for this
3 games of blood bowl on saturday and sunday and a night of other gaming on the saturday evening. Its being held just off northeast road, about a minute drive from greenacres.
$40 (or $45 if you pay after this week).
All players will be getting a prize, with the top prizes being full blood bowl teams.
For those of you who have only played a game or two it will be the perfect way to learn different strategies from other players and you might even get a team out of it.
Each team from the tournament will be eligible for playing in the next season of the Greenacres BB league- AFOUL, which plays on wednesday nights and occasional fridays.
the beauty of it being a swiss style tournament is that each round you are matched against someone with a similar standing, the top teams play against the top teams, the bottom teams play each other.
So if you are new to the game and don't really know what you are doing you will probably be playing the crap teams like halflings, goblins and such.
Therefore your games will be fairly competitive regardless of your skill level.
A few of the top players may take it seriously, but most people are there to have fun and win some cool prizes.
There is also a best painted team category,
a best sportsmanship and
a player MVP prize, with the best BB player on the pitch over the tournament getting a model sculpted to represent him!
If you don't have a team yet you can borrow one of mine, which include:
chaos
orcs,
halflings,
humans,
pro elves,
dwarves,
skaven,
undead,
vampires,
wood elves
High elves, (Drew might be using these?)
dark elves (I'll be using these so not available to borrow)
