Tournament Information
Griffin Grove ADELAIDE DUNGEON BOWL CUP
sunday Feb 27 2011 12-5pm
Hi folks,
we at Greenacres Gamers, who also run AFOUL, are running a dungeon bowl tournament on the sunday Feb 27
REGISTRATION IS OPEN
email AFOUL at internode.on.net
The venue will be our club room, at Movie Nights video store, which is equipped with tables, chairs, male& female toilets, a kitchen and of course good aircon (very important at that time of year!). THere is a bottleshop next door and at least 7 takeaway food places in the same shopping complex.
The Minor Prizes
Griffin Grove Gaming Best Dungeon Chamber competition.
Griffin Grove Gaming will be creating a choice of custom Hirst arts casting kits specifically for this tournament. Each player who registers before February 18th will recieve one kit, either to use for whatever they want or more importantly to construct an entry in the best dungeon chamber competition! (kits retail at around $10
Each coach is encouraged to bring along one custom dungeon room or passageway to enter in the 'best dungeon builder' award. If we have enough entrants in this category they will form one of the dungeons used for tournament play!!
Details about the size and arrangement of the dungeon will be available as part of the player registration package, out soon...
Also stay tuned for more custom fantasy football themed precast kits from Griffin Grove Gaming, including a standard blood bowl pitch, scoreboards, dugouts, stands and more! Yes you heard it here first!
Best Sportsman, supported by Alpha Hobbies
At Greenacres Gamers we don't play for cattle stations, we encourage players to enjoy their games and provide a supportive atmosphere for new players and casual gamers.
In the AFOUL blood bowl league we encourage people to get into the fun theme that the game has to offer with whacky house rules. As the commissioner I am happiest when a player says to me that even though they got flogged in a game that they really enjoyed it and all the twists and turns that great games have to offer.
Therefore we are extremely pleased to offer the player deemed as the nicest guy or gal with a gift voucher to Alpha Hobbies, who share our position on the importance of the combination of fun and fair play.
Alpha Hobbies have only been in operation for about 18 months, so if you are unfamilar with their product line now is a good time to check it out, as they have offered a discount to all and sundry who make an order quoting the Adelaide Dungeon Bowl Cup discount code below
We would like to offer the friends of the Greenacres Gaming Club a one of discount voucher. Simply enter the attached code when checking out and have the total of your order reduced by 5% This voucher is valid for one use only and expires on the 24th of December 2010 .

Best Painted Team competition, supported by CNC Workshop
What blood bowl match would be complete without a nice paint job on your team. ADBC will feature teams with a smaller team roster than most other forms of the game, so you have a great chance here to put extra time into each miniature to really make a great looking team. Even those of us who are slow painter, or can never find the time should be able to manage the number of miniatures in an ADBC team (more details in the registration package, out soon...).
Many thanks go to CNC Workshop who are sponsoring the best painted team competition this year by contributing prize support.
Griffin Grove Gaming Best Under 18competition.
As part of their steadfast commitment to supporting youth gamers if we have 3 or more entrants under the age of 18 Griffin Grove Gaming will be presenting the top ranked under 18 player with a $100 gift certificate, the second ranked under 18 player with a $75 gift certificate and the third ranked uner 18 player with a $50 gift certificate.
Fundraising- Fantasy Football Tshirts
To raise funds to buy extra prizes, keep the registration cost low, and to prepare dungeon boards and mats for the tournament we are now offering special custom designed tshirt for sale- featuring original artwork by our resident artist Addy, check out the for sale section here on the forums, or click on one of the images below to be taken to the store from which you can order it.
All proceeds from any tshirt sales will go to making the tournament better and reducing entry costs.
In addition to these we have just released the official AFOUL logo on a tshirt. Probably not of any interest to anyone but out members, but hey you have to wear shirts anyway, its $29.95 for a good quality item and it kicks back a few dollars to the tournament coffers.
cheers, hope to see some of you there, if not before
alex.
Tickets cost $25 and are available now
