Not long to wait now folks, this wednesday will be the last round of preseason games, the first round that counts will be the first wednesday of October.*
The good news is that a little birdy tells me that the grand Magi of the colleges of magic will be in attendance at this week's games. The bad news is that they have been working on a new kind of spell and the rumour is they plan on testing it during the game.
As with all preseason games, any painted model on 0 SPP gets a free SPP this week.
(*those of you paying attention will realise there is a week in the middle there, which will be a fun night of playtesting dungeon rules for the tournament we are hosting in March). Unlike most previous games it will see my big new dungeons in play for the first time!!

At the start of each drive the magicians transmute one randomly selected player. Roll a d12 for each team to choose a player on each side.
The player is immediately removed, replace the player with one of the following players, chosen randomly (D6). 1 beastman 2 skaven lineman 3 orc lineman 4 dwarf lineman 5 high elf lineman 6 human lineman the player looses his skills and attributes, they are replaced with the skills and attributes of the new player type.
All star player points the player aquires will count, it is the same player, its just his body that has been temporarily changed.
At the next kickoff repeat the procedure rolling for 2 new players, all existing transmutations remain in play.

I played Nathan. Lost 1-0. Real low scoring game SP wise. Not alot happened. 1 Cas, 1 TD and 1 Int between the 2 of us.
Although I forgot to level up 2 guys from last game. I now have a Str 4 Runner and both my Blitzers have Jump Up ;D

They look really nice. What are they printed onto? How were the games tonight? 180 gsm matt paper, about 3 times the thickness/density of office paper. I needed a break from halflings, so I drew up a new orc team to play Paul's Chaos Dwarves. The game started with a Black Orc killed by a thrown rock (damn crowd). After the first quarter, of horrible luck BTW, I gave up in disgust and Stu took over the team for the rest of the game. Due to the imbalance in team ratings the orcs had a few dirty tricks up their sleeve. A sure touchdown was ended when an assasin's blow dart took out a bull centaur, then a hobgoblin who was sent in to clean up the ball and score recieved a knife in the ribs for his efforts and again later on a sure touchdown was foiled by a sneaky orc throwing a stink bomb to bring both centaurs down and allow an orc to run in and grab the ball. I was hoping to build a bit of a dynamic orc team that could hit well and move the ball around too. The first didn't work but I was impressed at how well stu was able to spread the field and get the ball moving downfield. The final score was a disgracefully unfair 2-0 to the orcs, but it was certainly a moral victory for the Chaos Dwarves who managed 4 casualties and were absolutely robbed!

Robbed? What? Come on that pass ( that needed 6's to both be accurate and catch, which I did) was an absolutely brilliant piece of coaching. Still not sure how I won that game but it was entertaining.
