We this will be the first of many updates for my custom Blood Bowl pitch which I have decided to make before SSB in Sep. The dimensions are 26 squares x 26sqs. The actual design pic's are all in my head and a few ruff bits of paper in my shed. If I have time will paint some up. But with a lesson or two from Alex (and a beer) I have started mass producing square tiles and have just purchased more moulds from "griffin groves" (very helpful man, and would recommend getting items from his shop!) I intend to make the whole pitch from the tiles including the bell tower from Griffin's. Also the space hulk tiles but that is for a project later. (I'm thinking about a 40K spaceship???) The floor tiles will be different to represent the lined areas, also a few fun ideas on the tiles for house rules (permanent trampoline trap, maybe a pit... the tiles will be painted as if above lava helping with the pit trap. Bell tower in the centre for the the score board and a few other bits to make it look cool. So far I have made 16 4 x 6 sq tiles and a few other odds and ends. Lucky im on leave will post some pic's as soon as I work out me new phone. lol. As I will be playing Ogre's in season 5 and using them for the SSB the pitch will have logo's etc for my team. With that in mind for a laugh I will paint up advertisement's for your team on my pitch for a minimal fee to promote your team at the up coming SSB tournament. But I am a long way from that, just something to think about.

all I have been doing is going in and out of the shed for days now, I have a day off and then back into the shed. The timer is great I just wait for the beep and head back out to scrape or remould. I have purchased the following moulds:
1 x (HAM273) Castle Mould 273: Pipeline Floor 1 x (HAM301) Castle Mould 301: Starship Wall 1 x (HAM270) Castle Mould 270: Starship Deck 1 x (HAM055) Gothic Mould 55: Bell Tower 1 x (HAM040) Castle Mould 40: Basic Block
so they should be here in a few days, the bell tower will the the center point for the board. My magnets should be here in a day or to, and just got the airbrush delivered today. So ill play with that tonight.
For the sic fi moulds, I wanted to have a 40k battle in a ship like a boarding party idea. But didn't have the $$$ to buy all the moulds. >( But this will do to start with.
I have worked out the tiles needed and I have nearly completed all tiles needed to start putting them down. I will be using foam for the base to help with the weight of the model. Ill begetting that next from the foamex.com.au. Thanks again Alex for the help!

Ok I have now collected the foam and have got the board in place. I have successfully done my first mould of 6 x walls section. This is now my focus with the plaster. I have nearly finished the pitch with only the tiles for the TD zone and the different tile to indicate the pitch to finish. I have started to cut out the dugouts for the Dead box as this will be a lower level from the reserves box. I should have the bell tower mould by Thursday and I will start to make the score board. It takes 11 x 40 mould and 15 x 55, or vise - verse, either way i'm in for a lot of plaster. I will be posting pic's as soon I my new phone wants to update my computer with the latest version to transfer pic's across. Things are in good order to be finished........ nearly finished before I go back to work.
Alex I have tried to add the pic's but they are not attaching to the page? Maybe im a retard, lol. Will update the pic's when I have figured it out.

So work so far, have nearly completed all the tiles needed for the pitch. Just finishing the remaining wall sections and the dugouts for the Dead. Still working on moulds for the tower, (this is what is taking a while). Thanks to my new airbrush the painting will be a lot easier, not to mention painting my undead horde with is currently sitting in a large container of simple green. I'm not sure if it will be easier to paint the tiles glued to the foam or paint them before I glue them. I will work this out once I have finished the moulds. Attachments:

Ok so I have finished the tiles needed for the pitch, I am still working on the Bell tower, just finding time to put out the mould is hard now that im back at work. But have no fear I will make this happen. My Ogre team is now getting arms and two ogres are now looking like an actual player. lol. I only have the corners to build and then glue them all together. Then I will start to paint!!! Thank god for the airbrush!! Pic's will follow

Ok, I have now glued the tiles to the pitch. Just starting to paint the main floor and test out the airbrush. Most of the walls are on and the pitch will be ready to add the fine detail once the floor is painted.

Ok I have now glued all the main tiles on the board. Painted the lava and now started to paint the gray on the top. I have the bell tower half completed and while on guard tomorrow I will be modeling the ogres. Things are now starting to come along and I can see the end getting near. I will be play testing the pitch next week to see how it goes. Attachments:

I have now completed the Bell Tower, finished painting the main areas on the tiles for the pitch. Nearly finished fixing the edges of the walls with the final bricks (to tidy the edges up). I have run out of paint to finish the walls, so there is a trip to bunnings tomorrow. All I need to do now is pick a colour to paint the TD zone, paint the score board and all the pitch markers and I think I have finished. There was a good suggestion from the group about putting a wood border around the game board. But my wood work skills are crap...... This will be kept in mind if I have time at the end. But I do agree that the wood finish would make the pitch look super! Attachments:
