So did everyone enjoy the tournament? I had an absolute blast and it made me very happy to see everybody having a great time! I would really like to hear peoples stories about the tournament, games they played (victories and losses). anything really!
Also please give me comments and ideas to make the next one even better. Did you like the terrain setup and special feature rules? Would you like special characters included next time? Would you like to see some activities included for between games and possibly after gaming has finished after day 1? What about a best painted unit or character prize?
Also look out for the up and coming 'whats Stanley thinking?' competition...

i thought it worked out great, lots of fun games, very accomodating oponents for one as rusty as I, having Ash on hand to resolve queries was very handy, great to see a variety of WH armies all out and in action. The trophies were magnificent. The special features played a small part in most of my games, but weren't a big part of the overall battle strategy. Having one or two of the 5 battles use a more tactical strategy could work.
Maybe its just sour grapes talking, would a scoring system work based on the actual victory points from each of the 5 battles tallied together? e.g. you win the first one by 720, loose by 100, win by 250 etc etc and it all adds up to X VPs total.

Oh no! Its one of those guys!
First and foremost, I had a really good time. Coming 2nd really had no bearing, I could have come last for all I cared. The opponents were all good, there was a nice spread of armies and play styles, and everyone was really friendly and social. I am looking forward to coming up again some time and seeing how everyone has improved.
Terrain setup I found to be fine, though I think maybe a terrain shuffle would have been in order. One piece of terrain is taken from each table and moved to the next one. This only comes to mind because I fought 4 of my 5 battles on the same table, so became somewhat familiar with a certain tri-spire rock formation.
Special characters could be fun. I'm not a big fan of them myself, but some people like to use them, and I have no problem with that.
Activities is an interesting idea. Something for people to do when they finish a game quickly (sorry Jacob!) and are at a lose end. Console games is an obvious choice, but is there something quick and fun Warhammer related that could be done?

Well next time after the first nights games we can run a quiz night type thing. I have ordered the quiz books for both major systems (fantasy and 40k) and these could be implemented.
As for consoles that is an awesome idea. We do have console nights here at the store but one or 2 linked up during the tournaments could aid in reducing lack of activity between games.
The next tournament should have more players and thus more tables so hopefully that will reduce same table syndrome.
