Howdy everyone!
First of all I would like to say a thank you to all of you guys for enjoying your hobby and supporting the store. It would not exist without you guys.
I'm thinking that the store has begun to establish itself and has grown since Jacob and I took it over. We have increased the stock in both quantity and variety. The store now caters for quite a few systems and many more are to come.
We are only a small community and with so many systems on offer here I have noticed that a lot of people are investing heavily into their armies, decks, war bands/groups etc but not a lot of actual gaming is happening outside of Games Workshop products. This is fine as GW is indeed our main focus but its a shame that so many other products are being bought but not used.
I mean how many of you have bought Star wars, pirates or halo and actually never played a game?
A few people have bought warmachine and hordes stuff but never has a game been played here by anyone!
I would like to remedy this....
I have in the past allotted certain nights of the week to different systems and just left it as that. Bu now I would like to make it more 'official'.
This does not mean that if you come along on Wednesdays Magic the Gathering days that all you can play is Magic. I'd never make things mandatory. You can still play whatever you like. What I'm trying to implement is certain days so that you will have a good idea on what to bring (this is especially helpful to those of you who come after School or work as you will know what to expect)
So here are the proposed days and the activities we will run on those days:
Monday - Store is closed but if a public holiday should happen it will be a free for all
Tuesday - Pirates, Halo, Star wars
Wednesday - Magic the Gathering and other CCG's
Thursdays - Skirmish games (Warmachine/Hordes, Mordheim, Necromunda etc)
Friday - Games Night (Free for all)
Saturday - Once again a free for all but we will be running painting a modeling workshops
Sunday - Free for all but is also traditionally the day those FOW nuts head on in for a game, check it out its not a bad looking system!
So there you have it. Remember you are not locked into those days and games as the store is here for your enjoyment, play what you like but use these as a guideline.
Also if their is a system you would like to learn its best to come on the day catered for it. Ill be only too happy to teach you unless I don't know the rules in which case its always good to learn along with someone else!
So what do you all think?
