Well there are rules for a fantasy apocalypse equivalent coming out soon (apparently) a big group game would be the perfect thing to celebrate its coming!
It will just be a 'bring what you got', have a list for it (does not matter on size but around 2000-2500 would be great) and come along!
We will just shove people on one side or the other to keep it balanced.

I got my fantasy armies out of the cupboard yesterday.
Empire are all fine and dandy and ready to roll, 2000 points maybe a little more.
Undead I need some necromancers, never found any I liked much. Probably some new ones since the last time I looked.
I've got 80 zombies 5 spirit hosts a banshee, 10 dire wolves 5 black knights (converted chaos warriors) some vampires and wraiths (LOTR).
I thought maybe I should scratchbuild my own black coach too.
For heros I mostly just want necros and wraiths, maybe a vamp thrall.
Just lots of animated dead stuff and loads of magic, the oposite of my empire which is just normal men with weapons and armour and nothing cheesie.
Should probabl;y get some necromancers and a couple of boxes of zombies so I can field 3 units of 40 (and raise more).

The empire got a new wizard box set a short while ago. Has everything needed to make 2 wizards with lots of left over parts. It would be easy to use them as necromancers. One of the weapons is a massive scythe!
Calico used one in her undead army. You may have seen it?
Just a though anyways...

As for how magic works.... A spell caster can only try to dispel a dice if it is aimed at his own army. The only time any spell caster can dispel a spell is if it is affecting the table, terrain etc ie not at a unit. This does add an element of strategy to the spell casting and does make it quite fun. We have played a game like this before (they usually happen at the end of a tourny during the bbq) and it was great. Ask anyone who took part!
As for the date... Well we do have quite a full calander of events for march (will be posted soon) but ill try to slip it in somewhere.

That'd be sweet.
