To make this run as smoothly as possible I have come up with a few house rules to play by at this event.
Firstly, All Strategic Assets are available except the following:
Strategic Redeployment
(More possibly added to the list)
Maximum of 3000pts per player
Turn Sequence Time Restrictions:
In order to get the turns churning out as fast as possible each phase will have a time limit:
Movement: 10Minutes
Shooting: 20Minutes
Assault: 20Minutes
That makes it 50 Minutes per turn. Any units who have yet to fire when the time limit is up will forgo their shooting that turn. All of a units shooting must be completed before moving on to the next units shooting.
People that are found to be dragging out the Assault phase in order to manipulate the battle will be penalised in a way that is fitting to the context of their Sportmanship FAIL!
The Table:
It is Big at 24Feet Long (this may be made even larger based on the number of people who show for the game to a max of 32Feet. It will only be 4 feet wide so the usual Apocalypse mission set up will be thrown out the window to be replaced by the following:
16" Deployment Zones, Your entire army must be set up in an area no longer than 8 Feet in order to keep all your stuff localised. After the this you may move wherever you like but remember that there are time limits.
There will be 6 objectives spread out over the length of the table odd feet (yes I know this does not divide into 28 or 32 but you will see when you get there.) These will be placed in a zig-zag formation making half the objectives closer to your own deployment and half closer to your opponents.
Victory is based on the number of objectives held by your side at the conclusion of the game. The objectives closer to your deployment are worth 1 point, your opponents 2 points.
ANY unit may hold an objective and contest except for vehicles with structure points or fields/shields/flyers etc.
The objectives will be terrain based and a unit must have at least half of its remaining number on the terrain pieces base in order to hold or contest (a unit of 1 left can hold and contest)
There is no impassable terrain on the board.
If you have any questions then please ask!
