The games were: Tyranids vs Orks Space Wolves vs Soul Drinkers (Codex Marines)
Didnt get to catch much of the ork/nid game due to being busy stomping the sould drinkers into the ground so goon will have to fill in more of the details. but in the end i beleive it was the warboss with 1 wound left against the majority of nid horde lol
The past few days borchard (aka. thecoldfastnub) has been gloating over being able to fit into all his new "uber" units into his army list for last nights 1200pt game. The got torn to shreds, despite his continuous cheating and dodgy tactics. Such as buying meltabombs for his vanguard sergeant midgame (which i barely caught in time) and getting out his measuring tape, and sitting it on the the next table. looking at it, looking at the board and trying to measure range without actually measuring range >_> so he wouldnt have to choose his target first. Memorable moments: - His assault squad going up in smoke in 1 turn. - His terminator librarian continually surviving until finally my Iron Priest ran up and belted the shit out of him. - His vanguard squad getting tank shocked by a rhino, shot to peices by the blood claws following it and then fleeing from the middle of the table to just a couple of inches short of the edge of the table. -His landspeeder getting wiped out by the HK missile from the afformentioned rhino on turn 2, before it could do anything. - Deploying his drop pod on the very edge of the table, having it miss and me getting to stick it at the opposite end of the table, far away from the objectives, making his sternguard hoof it for the next couple of turns.
In all fairness, there was a bit of unknowing dodginess on both sides due to a lack of knowledge what the hell we were doing, and constant running to goon to find out stuff. But im quite happy relaxing in the knowledge that noobishness and a semblance of strategy beats noobishness, cheating and NO strategy.

There was about 10 of us. Dodo forgot to say how i got him to roll 1d6 and take the highest lol....ROFL.. Gavin is still laughing at that. I got no game in but got to help the 2 games that was on and help write a Tau army list as i have about 12yr XP and the others have not much but it is funny with some of the rules some people come up with lol. Well the Orks vs Nids lol game points value ?, no Ork codex dont help (i have not read it also so dont know much) I came in after 2 turns to see why the nids were getting shot to bits only to find out the orks had WS4 lol that means they shoot good on 3+ WTF LOL.... So we fixed that and wow orks cant shoot with BS2 needing 5+ now HAHA. Combat was fun with the little Nids in there speed smashing the Orks with there 6+Sv. End game was Ork warboss with 1W Vs Carnifex, Tyrant, 2x3 Warriors, 8 or so Hormagarnts and 8 or so gaunts. Warboss charged the hormie's, hormie's do no wounds warboss has mighty A4+1 for charge scores 1W lol hits on 3+ wounds on 2+ and scores 1W hahahaha so funny but kills it with his claw. So the warboss wins hormie's Ld 4-1 for the combat =3 Nid player rolls 3 hahahahah so funny next turn the warboss gets smashed gameover... But in all fairness both players have no choice in what to use and have almost no XP maybe 3 or so games total between them and with no ork codex, but both players seemed to enjoy it and thats what counts i had a great time and i wasnt even playing lol.

Were Deffcoptas used?
If not next time get him too. Thay are pretty darned awesome. I have obliterated whole units with them. Turbocharge 24" over a unit, drop my Big Bomms (S4 AP5 Large Blast a piece, one Deffcopta can carry one Bomm) then they benefit from a 3+ invulnerable save that turn too!
Next turn Shoot the bejebus out of a unit (Twin Linked Rokkits at S8 and twin linked big shootas) then assault the remnants with 4 powerclaw attacks each!
Plus you can 'Hit and Run'......
Expensive to have all those abilities but absolutely GOLD!

Thats what terminator armour is for and im thinking of making it worse by fleshing out the Rune Priest's guards with some cheap ones in power armour, that will still get a +2 save thanks to majority armour rules

Still wont get 2+ cause there in power armour that 3+ you have to alocate wounds so that means your terminators will take wounds and die first so this idear sux. I still dont know if the mixed armour rule is in 5th ED.

Fairly sure it isnt. You're sposed to allocate the wounds to each member of the unit. And if the terminator leading the squad of grey hunters has to take a 3+ why cant the power armour marine tagging along with the terminators get a 2+, cant work one way and not the other goon. Its irelevant anyway cus as i said im fairly sure 5th ed you're sposed to allocate each wound to a member of the unit and role their saves. same goes for mixed toughness units with the to wound roll. Also goon, HAH I WAS RIGHT! *ahem* That is to say, after consulting with laurie it turns out i was correct, the wolf pelt gives an extra attack on top of the one for counter attacking, so that terminator should have gotten another attack

Cant work one way and not the other W T F the mixed armour rule dont know if it is in or not says all models must take majority saves first then the next and so on and so on. So if you have a terminator in a squad of 5 marines and take 7 wounds you put 1 on each marine as it is the majority then the terminator and then a marine again as it is the majority.
New 5th ed is..... same squad same wounds you are allowed to put the wounds where you like but cant allocate 2 wounds to a model untill every one has been alocated a wound so you can have 2 on the terminator and one on each marine or do the same as the one above.
As i said i dont know what the rule is for the wolf pelt, so you can be as right as you like cause i had know idear mixing old rules with new rules not even GW is going to get it right 100%.
Having said all this i have found the new space wolf rules and it say's...
Mixed Armour: Ignore this and use the normal rules from the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook.
and you asked this before and i did not know....
Drop Pods: Use the rules for Drop Pods in Codex: Space Marines. Follow the Codex: Space Wolves list of models that can utilize Drop Pods.
And...
Counter-Attack: Ignore this and use the rules from the universal Special Rules in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook (Long Fangs, however, still do not get this rule).

lol Shhh let me have my moment of self satisfaction. As for the mixed armour, i misunderstood your explanation, taking it that you mean that the armour save the majority of the squad had was what the whole squad had, meaning if you had terminators in there they only had a 3+ armour save. Meh ohwell, just the fun and games of sorting stuff out with rules.

No probs dude i get rules wrong also, but it is the fun of sorting out the new stuff i love like whats what now.
As for what Laurie said about the counter attack i think the pelt is a gone item as this is an errata i found...
Q. If my Codex includes some options (or other rules) that seem to have no effect in the new edition (like the Thornback biomorph, which makes the model count as double the number of models for the purposes of outnumbering the enemy in combat resolution), are you going to publish an errata to change them to something else that does work? A. No, if an option (or a rule) clearly has no effect, like in the case of the example above, it simply does nothing. We think it’s simpler to just leave it until the next edition of the Codex rather than change its effects through an errata.
And the wolf pelt would be like having furious charge and then getting it another way again and having +2s and +2I you cant have tha same ability stack twice.

Here ill post what laurie said lol: Hey mate,
In regards to Counter-Attack, The FAQ says, “Ignore this special rule and use the rules from the Universal Special Rules in the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook (Long Fangs, however, still do not get this rule).”
The rulebook universal special rules say that you have to make a Ld test, if you pass it your unit can counter attack and get an additional +1 Assault bonus.
The wargear section of the SW Codex says that a model with a Wolf Pelt gains +1 attack bonus when they Counter Attack.
The intention is most certainly to reflect the awesome fighting prowess of one who has slain a Fenrisian Wolf. Ergo, the model gets a whopping +2 attack bonus when initiating a successful counter attack. I think the word we’re looking for here is “BOO-YAH!!” (or ,“Ouch” eh Goon! Hehe)
Have fun,
Lozz

Only just saw the bit at the bottom of your other post. Yeah knew about the long fangs not getting counter attack, but i suppose it makes sense since its pretty hard to move fast with those big f**kin guns. I wonder if it applies to the pack leader though =/ i assume so, even though it he should be able to counter since he doesnt have any big guns.
