Ok peoples it has been bought to my attention that there has not been a Warhammer Fantasy Battle Tournament at the Dice and Deck for a long time (June/July I think). Well I shall be remedying this but decreeing that there shall be a Warhammer Fantasy Tournament in the near future.
Placing a date for this thing will be tricky as there are some big events coming up in the next few months (Mildura Doubles Tournament mid Jan, Mad Huge Apocalypse Late Feb, Big 40k tournament Marchish...) This tournament will most probably be held mid Febuary as its the only gap big enough to fit it in the next 3 months.
Initial Details are very sketchy at the moment but this is what I know for sure:
2200pts (this makes it a fair bit bigger than the last 1500pt tourney and will allow you to field a Lord sized character)
Special Characters PERMITTED with the only restriction that only ONE Special Character be taken per army.
The tables will use the Special Features as presented in the Warhammer Rulebook.
Scenarios will be similar to last tournaments (I can not even remember if we had any specific scenarios...)
Will have the same time format of 3 games on the Saturday and 2 on the Sunday followed by the usual presentations and feed (and group game should people be interested)
The price will be a little higher than last times but there will be Prize support in the form of credit to spend at the Dice and Deck.
Thats about it for now. Any changes will be made to this post so keep your eyes peeled!
