really, special characters ARE worth it, just watch out for sniping goblin shamans... 75pt goblin normal shaman irresistable cast cum stupid spell at the special character lord of the reiksguard of empire (375ish points) and nuked him in one go. they will be destroyed or completely avoided haha

lol its ok, i realised after the tournement i had a dispel scroll and a staff of sorcery on my wizard = 10pts more than he's aloud to carry. Luckily it was irelevant cus i dont think i used that dispell scroll throughout the tourney.

Does not make it irrelevant. A lot of people do this 'find out that they had something illegal but it does not matter as they did not use it'. It still can change the game, makes you and your opponent think differently to what they would have thought without the offending items.
Not having a dig at you just letting you know it can (and does) matter.
As an example in the last tournament someone thought they had 8 dispel dice but in reality only had 6. Their opponents knew of this so would have thought about the whole magic phase and how they cast spells differently. Even thought the extra 2 dice were apparently not used it still changed that part of the game for them and their opponent.

Yeah when i say irrelevant i mean it as in its too late now, cant rewind time afterall. There were other things i hadnt quite understood, such as exactly how the dice pool worked (ie. mages only get a certain number each they can use and then the pool is seperate, not all chucked ) luckily i only had one mage so it wouldnt have changed things much.
But yeah... it can be quite confusing getting the grasp of things at first.
