Not so much of your regular type of game. More of a gaming 'experience'. I'm not sure if this is multi platform but I am going with the assumption that its not. This looks very very interesting and if you are looking for something thats not racing or run and gunning then check it out. To me it looks like a new style of 'point and click' adventures. Each time I go to the website and watch the trailers it gives me feelings of 'the silence of the lambs', 'Seven' and even 'Twin Peaks'.
Consider it preordered by me.

I have signed up to the 4 days online interactive event... this event even though it has being only going for a week (with 2 or 3 to go) has simply blown me away. You sign up for the event at the heavyrain homepage and it starts with an email sent to your inbox.... From there you start to unravel the mystery of the Origami Killer. It has been interesting to say the least. Even if you are not interested in the game itself I suggest you have a go at this. Its a great little piece of detective/investigator intrigue... www.heavyrainps3.com/

So I'm about three hours into the game now. Unfortunately I'll probably not get the opportunity to finish it but at this stage I'd happily buy a PS3 just for that reason! The first half hour or so was intriguing (due to learning the unique interface ) and yet thoroughly boring (due to learning the unique interface )! After that it picked up quickly & has me hooked. I can't wait to have another crack at it soon. In the hours I've played so far I've controlled three different characters. The mood of the game is probably best described as sombre. Naturally, there have already been hints at who the killer is but I'm fully expecting a twist! Playing the game feels like watching a movie. The people move fluidly very much like real people (the motion capture guys have done a brilliant job)! The graphics are great. I'll put another update on here once I'm a bit further through. Enjoy!

Just out of interest who do you think the killer is? I wont confirm or deny and neither will anyone else lest their IP gets banned!
It is an awesome game though. Only one of my characters died in it... There is also a download pack with another mission... only a short one. The main character is the very hot Madison Paige.

Just so you know how far through I am, the agent has just had a head spin. At this point it looks firmly like the man that keeps having blackouts is the one...as I said though, I'm expecting (looking forward to) a twist

Well, I've finished the game. What a farkin catastrophe! I have the same ability with the Sony controller as with dice...absolutely none I successfully allowed ALL of the major characters to die. The last thing I saw on the screen before the end credits was the killer walking along the footpath presumably looking for another victim... Overall it was a really well put together and thought out game. The graphics & sounds are great. The movement & appearance of the people is very realistic (except when turning a character; they're a little jerky). The interface was refreshingly different and allowed for movement etc that you normally can't do in a game. The only thing that annoyed me was the music. It set the mood nicely but over the course of the game it became very repetitive. Most of the game is spent interacting with things/people, studying clues and working out what to do next. Well worth a shot if you have some time to kill. Oh, yeah. The autosave is a bit of a bitch 'cos there's no going back to try a section again! The upside of that though is that it makes it feel even more realistic.

I only lost The Agent guy right at the end. I had a couple of very narrow scrapes though. I imagine this means the son died too?
Finding out who the killer was blew me away. I seriously did not see it coming. I very much hope quantic dreams makes another game like this. As a matter of fact I think I may go start it all over again on my brand new LED tv!

Yep, afraid I allowed the kid to die too! I thought there'd be a twist but the killer definitely aint who I was expecting either!
