Nope, its a long ranged weapon. The Ork would be confidant in their fire power to a point of arrogance and would never feel that they would need an upclose weapon. I reckon sponsons with lots and lots of bullet firing muscle. and maybe a small skorcher port on the front... maybe.

Thats what has been missing from 40k, speech bubbles for the miniatures. Or maby even a little pizo speaker with a blue tooth connection to hook it up to an external Mp3 player so that the model itself hurls abuse at the opponent, thus keeping your sportsman ship score high whilst demoralizing the opponent. If they complain you can always point to the model and say "HE DID IT!"

Or even better/worse... the model itself can tell you all about its chapters background fluff!
