[BF] Vietnam Special Edition

Finally my dreams have come true!
Battlefront have finally bought out some Nam products!

I just got my copy of WI 266 and it has some special supplements for Vietnam in '65. Uses the core FOW rules and has lists, new models, scenarios... its awesome!

Looks like this has finally driven me to get a subscription as I want to take advantage of this issues special ed subscription deals (contains 15mm helicopters!)

Sorry if I sound so excited but this stuff looks great and some of the new models are awesome. If you have not got this issue then go out and get it (im sure the DnD have got a few or can get them in?)


Also in that same issue is the announcement of Forgeworlds up and coming WW2 game due out sometime very soon. Looking forward to that but thats in another thread

Haven't bought one of those mags for a while then?

This stuffs been out for the last three months or so...

Unfortunately they did a Gee Dubb and released the rules (which are a supplement to the big book) in Wargames Illustrated, and made the models limited release and apparently only available through direct order

Judging by the demand for it though, it looks like it's going to expand (with Australian troops ) and become part of their mainstream list.

I'm looking forward to em' making some AH1 Cobras

With a Wargames Illustrated subscrition I will never miss another issue (just get them horrendously late... yeah, I heard the stories too...). But two free Nam Helicopters makes it ok!

And they did not 'pull a Gee Dubb' they are pretty much Gee Dubb (and Privateer Press, Wizards of the Coast/Hasbro and Fantasy Flight) now they are 'Big Business'!

Speaking of 'Nam I saw these guys tuff at Mil Hobbies today flashpoint-miniatures.com/catalogue.html Not bad looking stuff and they're Australian so they do ANZACS for 'Nam. Woo.

I was thinking of getting some of the FOW vietnam stuff through Maelstrom. Good price and they still have a few sets available.
