Movie Nights hosted their first official gaming session last Friday (19/3) and the several players from the NFI partook in a few games of Bloodbowl.
Alex (alex) being the pure BB fiend played in both games and as I was busy for most of the night making introductions and mingling I am only able to report on the first game which he played against me.
In true form I lost the game but as a high point I scored what I believe to be my first 2 touchdowns ever in BB. As the Orcs were sitting at home I had a go with Alex's High Elves and had a crack at a passing and running game. Alex used his Skaven so I was generally outmanouvered but I managed to hold my own... with a little help from one of his Ratogres for a drive.
My first touchdown came as a complete fluke with odds that are too high to be calculated but lets just say it involved an inaccurate pass, a fumbled catch, fortuitous bouncing, and a freakish catch to seal the deal.
I was also in the position to tie the match at the end of the game via the same general process but the crowd did not favor me...
Alexs second game was played against Darrens Dark Elves and I will eave it to one of them to report the outcome.
It is hoped that more BB players heed the call of the pitch and another league can get started.
