OK, lets try to make this as sensible as possible. I am not know for completing a lot of army's in my gaming career (or any armies at all if I am being totally honest, shrink wrap can be a challenge for me at times).
Painting is one of my pet peeves as I have about the same talent for it as a cockroach that has been drooped into an inkwell and then walked across a sheaf of paper (produces about the same results as well).
This whole event is going to be a real challenge for me to say the least.
Well lets get to the facts then, my choice of army is based on three simple ideas,
1:-economy ,namely the cheapest army I could think up, $374.00 including the codex
2:-expense ,the least amount of model whilst still being a playable army that wont have people hating me.
3:-laziness , how hard can it be to dry-bush metallics (I hope I'm not deluding my self).
As of the time of this posting I still don't have a definite time table as to the first month as I am waiting for my order ( this not a criticism as I only ordered it last week). I hope to try and get 1 model done a day once I start and hope that this is not an unrealistic goal.
The list that I am planing is
:- 2 Lords
:- 4 Squads of Warriors
:- 2 Squads of Destroyers
:- 1 Monolith
This is subject to change as I progress or respond to intelligent, constructive input / criticism.
My painting scheme will be fairly simple with a slight twist as I plan to start with a white undercoat, followed by an unusual choice of goblin green as a base coat, followed by an as yet undecided metallic silver heavy dry-bush, lastly a very light dry-brush of a copper color to try to achieve an aged bronze look. There may even be some highlighting done if I can find the time and effort / inspiration to do so. I would like to try some lighting effect from the glow of the weapons but I fear that in the real world this may be a bit beyond me.
Well I think that is about it, I will try to keep this up to date but people who know me know what I am like so wish me luck and watch this space to see if the impossible happens.
