Whats happening at this weeks session?
I have no real clue!
From the sounds of things looks like the Bloodbowlers will be back with increased numbers. The NFI is growing really fast!
More 40K, More Warmachine, More painting and assembling!

Another great session of gaming at the club tonight although not quite as large a turn out as usual some games were played and fun was had!
I pulled out the Space Marines to have a game with 40k new guy Michael. Last time we played he managed to get one over me as my Orks failed to do anything spectacular. This time was my time. Fielding two Tactical Squads and a 5 man Assault Squad led by an Interrogator Chaplain was probably a little bit cheese for a game this size but oh well....
Still was a very close game with Michael being wiped out and myself only left with said chaplain and a small handful of marines. Was a good game and with Michael having made a sizable purchase during the week (it is AMAZING what you get for the AU over in the UK... unbelievable) future games can be bigger!
Bloodbowl was played but I didnt get much of a chance to see what was going on but managed to see that Alex had lost his first game since I have known him!
Next week I have my first Apocalypse sized game since being at the venue. Its very borderline Apoc as it will be a 3000pt game between myself and Whitetailscramble. One super heavy each and the rest regular 40k. Should be interesting..... and I get to finally use one of my Stompas again; the first time since Alcopocalypse!

Oh, would you be willing to entertain the notion of a two on two game? I have two more players that heard we were having a game and wanted to know if they could join in?
1 is Nurgle.... the other marines.

Another awesome week of gaming that also proved I need to make some more tables and make them soon!
2 new faces along with 8 old ones makes 10 gamers in all this time round and whats more thats not including the Bloodbowl players who have moved to Tuesday Nights. It is always great to meet new gamers especially those gamers who are as passionate about the hobby as the rest of us are.
It is hoped that during the week I can go out and purchase some MDF sheets in which to make a few more tables. Not sure what exactly I am going to do but I think I'll extend Cityfight to twelve feet in length and get together a few more buildings.
There also continues to be interest for the more skirmishy games GW has bought out over the years with Mordheim, Necromunda and Inquisitor (to be played in 25/28mm) taling the fore. Necromunda and Inquisitor should be fairly straight forward with the Cityfight stuff being suitable enough with a few additions of walkways etc.
Also have a few people with Fantasy armies now. It shall not be long before we hold a Fantasy invitation tournament....
Speaking of tournaments it has been decided that we shall be running a one day Kill Team event in the near future so watch out for that one!
Many of you might be wondering how my Apocalypse game went..... Well the fact that I have thrown it at the bottom of this post should indicate that the results were less than favourable for me. It was a 3000pt game and I opted to only field 5 models; 4 being my Stompas and the fifth being a Baneblade.
When my opponent arrived it was decided he would have had a hard time playing me with only a single super heavy so I let him use my Baneblade which I replaced with Warboss, Mek w/Shokk Attack and a few Nobs.
When it came to bidding for deployment I bid 30 seconds so managed to score first turn too. With my Stompas spread across the table and Nobs at the ready I felt I would be invincible.
The early game saw me destroy a Defiler and a few of his heavy hitting squads but in return a lot of my Stompa weaponry was either destroyed or the gunners shaken. Come my second assault phase I thought it was time to make use of my Stompas special rule; Stompede!
An unstopable wall of Stompas roared across the battlefield destroying everything in its wake (mostly buildings) at the end of my turn I rolled my Stompede dice and the Gork saw fit to have me continue at break neck speeds.
Drew saw that I had made a mistake with the placement of my Stompas and saw fit to make me pay for it dearly. My lead Stompa was quickly immobilised... It was here that I too saw my error...
My third turn came with not a lot of shooting but it was the assault phase that saw it all unfold. My right flanking Stompas continued to bash apart buildings and crush Chaos underfoot. The roller ending just short of the table edge; it had travelled 17inches that turn.
On my left flank my Klaw Stompa smashed into my Kustom Stompa forcing a combat with the Klaw Stompa getting 9 strength 10 attacks!
My Kustom Stompa was wrecked in the combat and the Klaw Stompa was left with one structure point. I rolled the stompede dice again.... the stompede continued and All drew had to do was get out of the way as my Stompas ran straight off the table!
It was a hilarious game enjoyed by the players and spectators alike. Next week I hope to get some form of revenge with a regular game of 40k against Drew.
Other than my game three other games of 40k broke out across the place. Tau, Imperial Gueard, Daemons, Tyranids and Marines all made an appearance and I look forward to seeing them again soon.
