I reckon you could paint like that.
You should hold a FOW/15mm scale painting comp. Single Model. No prizes. Just for laughs?
Maybe the model can be presented on a command base?

Indeed I will take part.
You just need to stipulate some rules... maybe a few categories:
Single figure on a command base
Squad (either command team on base or a regular foot squad)
Vehicle or artillery piece
Could be fun!
