For me: The number one irritation is not having enough hours a day to spare! Following very closely behind, is putting the finishing touches on a mini only to find a mould line!!! ... especially if it's in a really obvious place like the helmet or shoulder ... What about yours?

Mold line are on the top of my list, almost to an OCD level of compulsion. The fun and games that you can have with super glue is my number 2, e.g. managing to glue the pointer finger of both hands together whilst still failing to achieve any type of bond between any of the models parts (but that can be quite funny when it turns into a team event). C:- the fact that the average kindergarten finger painting failure still appears to have more skill at painting than me.

My gripes are that I have to do it at all.... and also the same gripes FOWnut has. I hate getting to the end of a model to find a mold line or bit of flashing I missed even though I had gone over the same spot at least 5 times!
Oh and stray hairs getting stuck in the dry paint, pulling it out and having a rift in my paint job.

Kids, and the fact that having 3 in the house means I don't get painting time I Hafta say I don't have the mould line issue, I'm quite happy with the "If you can't see if from 3 feet I don't care about it" attitude :-D

Note to self... Don't ask how you know that ;D Obviously got a glimpse of the collection on your hard drive. We should get back to the original topic here Finishing a mini, only to chip it before I've had a chance to varnish it (or laminate ) really annoys the bejesus outta me too...

I hate it enough when I chip a basecoat let alone a finished product.
I am sticking to plastic for anything larger than 15mm from now on. If it does not exist ill convert it... metal 15mm figures seem to hold up well though.

Finishing a mini, only to chip it before I've had a chance to varnish it (or laminate ) really annoys the bejesus outta me too... ...or fumbling a finished & varnished mini, juggling it (effectively throwing it higher) and making a desperate last grab only to make it hit the deck harder than just letting it drop...and thereby making nice shiny silver bits on the top. Unfortunately as well as doing this to my own I've also done it to someone elses...real vomit material there! On that topic, someone on the FoW forums commented about knocking some mini's off the table edge onto concrete and reported no damage: "Magic Wash Saves Scipio!" 'I was out in the garage airbrushing some vehicles. I had previously done some AT guns and hit them with a Magic Wash. Well, I nudged the the foam block with the AT guns on it and it crashed to the concrete floor. "@$%!!!!!" I said.
Well...despite one gun barrel being a little bent (and easily straightened), not a bit of paint came off! It must be the Future(tm) in the mix. Not a single chip!
I'm now a believer.'

getting all set up to paint, only to find out that your pot of paint is too dried up to use. also, having a productive painting session, then having a bad back from being hunched over the desk/coffeetable. Painting posture is not a good one.
