Okay this does not happen very often but here I go...
I have been rather harsh in my judgement of Mantic Games miniatures. When I first saw the Mantic Elves I laughed and laughed quite loudly. They were wirey, spindley, aenemic looking things and I guess many of you would agree.
Next came their undead range and once again I laughed. They were cartoony looking and I thought they looked crap. The skeletons teeth looked too big and some of the weapons did not look like they belonged.
These critiques I made were based on the pictures I have seen on the internet.
Recently I had the opportunity to see some of Mantics ghouls in person and I must say I was blown away!
every single bit of the miniature looked fantastic and they oozed personality. The hands and fingers were well proportioned and the poses were brilliant.
I am currently eating my own shoe and will very soon be ordering an entire undead army (including lots of ghouls)to use for a new gaming system IK have recently discovered (more on tnhat later)
So yes... I have changed my tune!
