From FF:
Fantasy Flight Games has announced Blood Bowl: Team Manager - The Card Game, designed by Eric M. Lang and Corey Konieczka, a standalone game of deck-building action that takes 2-4 players through the cutthroat excitement of an entire Blood Bowl season, all in about an hour.
You’re the coach, and you’ll customize your deck by grabbing the best new draft picks, or employ devious tactics to take your opponent’s Star Players out of the game...for good.
We’re calling every armchair quarterback who thinks they can lead a rowdy group of some of the roughest, toughest creatures in the Old World to victory…your time has come!

Not much more besides this so far. More news as it happens!

could be fun if they keep the humour of the background with something other than a tokenistic game design. Presumably its not a CCG, though that could be a pretty fun way to build a team, with the stars being rare.

I have a feeling it will be a Living Card Game (LCG) as Fantasy Flight are well known for producing these. An LCG is similar to a CCG in that there are constant expansions being bought out but the difference is that you are not buying blind; every box has the same cards in it so everyone at least has even grounding when picking cards.
I have a feeling this is going to be more about the behind the scenes part of BB.. Team managment etc rather than playing on the pitch.
Either way it will be something really easy to carry around for some BB feeling action on the go.
