The Lord of the Rings trilogy will do me. Finally got to see the extended versions earlier this year after watching the standard ones around 3-5 times each

Also, Shawshank Redemption & The Green Mile are both way up there too

As far as funnies go, Top Secret was great as well as The Life of Brian
