As mentioned in the working on thread I'm starting an IG army.
Planning it to be a predominantly mechanized army with at least one squad of rough riders in support.
The troopers will be made up of Vostroyan First Born models (Expensive I know, thus the low number count of foot sloggers) for the veteran and command squads. The rough riders will be converted from Empire Knights, with a saergent converted from the master engineer on mechanised steed.
Ordered a 3-pack of troopers today, so hopefully I can start painting test models next week, with pics to follow once I scrounge up a camera.

After looking over some more guard stuff (I need to pick up the codex at some point so I stop going off memory)
There will be devil dog's.
Also looking at mounting that hellstorm/volley battery instead of the normal manticore missiles.

Apparently The Lost is out of stock in australia, so my order is held back, this includes the vostroyans >_<

GW Adelaide. Because I'm a retard and didnt realise that ordering it through the store to avoid postage was pointless when the order was already big enough to get free postage anyway >_>

I hadn't checked, didnt really feel like waiting weeks for a reasonably small purchase. On inspection of the maelstrom website, they list a category for the Vostroyan Firstborn but its empty.

The last thing I ordered from there took around 2 weeks. But that was a while ago and I tend to exaggerate at all times.

Vostroyans arrive tommorow afternoon, hopefully have the time to get started on them this weekend. Will have pics of the test models and some of my newest space wolf acquisitions when I get back from mildura (getting a camera for my 21st so I'll finally be able to take photos)

15 minutes to speed walk from my tutorial room at City West campus to GW in rundle, knackered but it was worth it to grab my order that arrived this afternoon instead of waiting til thursday.
The Vostroyans look awsome, each model is in one piece so all I have to do is trim off the flash and give them a good scrub so they'll be ready to base and undercoat in no time.
In the same box came the other part of my order; Gaunt's Ghosts: The Lost. Looking forward to reading through another fantastic omnibus in the series ^_^

Uni raping face. Will start work on the test models after assignments finished.
On other news, found a wolfguard model at GW that I didnt own, snatched it up. Epic pose, power fist raised open handed as if he's about to pimp slap someone down xD

One due on monday, another due friday (Which I"m probably not going to do and fail that course ftw.)
Going to try and get them done tuesday onward and I'll post pics when I get back from mildura.
