An email went out this evening to a select group of Australian ebusinesses that cater to tabletop gamers.
Two have already replied to offer prize support for the tournament. Fruitful negotiations have begun, details to be announced later when deals have been struck.

I've been looking through alot of hirst arts stuff this week, with a view to preparing the 'build your own dungeon chamber' competition for each entrant. A modular 12inch by 12inch board would be a bit bigger than this, and make a good sized room for dungeon bowl (of course the entrant could turn it into a tight series of corridoors) a la I love the look of these cavern chambers, and think something like this would make a nice modular room, with plenty of potential for variety of shapes and layouts, while providing modeling challenges for spider webs, pits, slime, rivers, stalagmites etc I like how the walls look great from either side, so if you abut one blank side with one walled side it works great, e.g. this "E" piece has an exit on the right hand side, but if you abut it with the D piece then that passageis blocked by the wall on the left side of the other room. At this size we can make a game board out of every 6 rooms, so we might even get two dungeons like this to play on in the tournament, or even 3! alternatively we could go for a less natural, more manmade looking cavern like this or an entirely man made dungeon like this: more news to follow!

hirst arts molds have arrived and casting has begun for the grand dungeon! At the end of the week I'll be getting some RTV silicone so I can make up some more molds to shortcut the dungeon construction process. Pictures soon!

have found a supplier near me of styrofoam sheeting like used in this tutoriala 12inch square (one 6th of a dungeon bowl board) is $1. (minimum order cost of $30+GST They cut to size so it might be the perfect base for a regular BB pitch too. I'll make an order soon, let me know if you want some for any of your projects
