This is a story ive started on and still needs a lot of working on so plz help where you can and ill update it as often as possible
The wind shifted lightly as Drakno a wood elf highborn of Athel Loren looked up, his pale blue eyes casting into the moonlight. He could sense that something wasn’t right; he knew a dark evil approached from the surrounding land and that it was a massive threat to the forest. Drakno had blonde hair, a smooth and noble face any stranger could instantly tell that he was an elf. He was very well respected by his kind and a very fearsome foe to fight, he had battled the strongest of chaos and orcs, took on 100s of skaven and skinks at the same time but still his enemy’s still attempt to learn the secrets of Athel Loren. Drakno is feared almost as much as Orion the king of the forest, although in a fight Drakno would probably win or at least be Orion’s hardest battle. Drakno new that the evil presence coming would devour Bretonia without second thought and then would burn the forest of Athel Loren down... again. Drakno new that this was the presence of orcs but something was different about it he also sensed that chaos was with them and weren’t fighting but helping each other. Later that night when Drakno returned home all of his family were sleeping, so he crept off to bed trying not to wake them up. During his sleep he had visions of the forest burning to ashes, his family being murdered and the foul stench of Gormath’s breath as he leant over Drakno’s dead body. Then Drakno woke up realising that it was a dream and not real, he was relieved because it felt real to him. After he had eaten he set off with his dragon, Loren named after the forest for its countless assists on helping to protect the forest, to come before Orion himself to tell him of his visions. When he arrived at his destination he told Orion everything, but at first Orion did not believe him until his wife, Ariel, had told him that she too had visions of similar fate. So Orion warned all of the wood elves and also the spirits of the forest of this fate, they started work on their defences straight away but the only problem was that winter was nearing which meant Orion had to sacrificed once more and reborn in spring and the forest would be at its weakest because the spirits would not be able to help as much. Winter came and still no sign of the attackers and Orion was long gone and the wood elves were starting to think it was a false alarm. So they started to slowly get rid of their defences no matter how much Drakno tried to stop them, for he had the same dream for several weeks now. Eventually winter was ending and still no sign of the attackers and Drakno himself was starting to believe it was a false alarm, until one night near midnight a small scout force of bretonians came into the forest at first the wood elves thought that the bretonians came to invade but all they wanted was to warn us of incoming chaos and orc armies that just assaulted all of Bretonia and were heading to the forest. Quicker than ever Drakno raced for Loren his dragon and called the rest of his army to go to help the bretonians before it was too late. When he got to the edge of the forest he saw the damage that was done to Bretonia and all the advancing forces that were coming, halve of his force turned tail and ran like girls who saw a spider while the fiercest stayed to fight. The opposing forces advanced quickly and easily outnumbered the elves 100 to 1 and most elves new it was the end for them until... horns sounded from all directions as the high elves charged into combat slashing away orcs and chaos alike, Drakno took advantage of this and yelled “CHARGE...” at the top of his lungs. Out of the forest poured thousands of elves and dryads alike charging with other highborn’s at their side. Even with all the elves and dryads fighting they were still outnumbered by a fair bit especially when there sorcerers started shooting fireballs and other magical blasts into the streaming line of wood elves causing the dryads to burst into flames and die. Then all of the remaining Bretonians came to join the battle already weakened and scarred. But the problem still aroused that they were outnumbered.
hope you enjoyed it so far.
