This doesn't really relate to wargaming, more to RPGs and Storytelling, so I'll put it here. (Actually, it CAN relate to Miniature / wargaming if you play it out as an RPG as well... More on that in another thread, possibly under general wargaming (I Bought Mythic...) Anyway, Worldbuilding... Any good adventure / story needs a world, whether a small realm, a continent or a complete planet. I Used to enjoy tinkering with AutoREALM (A Free fractal mapping program) making continents for the hell of it. So, Today, Grandma buys the kids a beanbag each. Everyone knows these are best filled in the bathtub, as it makes cleanup easier. Sure enough, beans everywhere in the tub. So, clean out as many as possible dry, then add water to get the rest. Kids come in, and treat the beans like clouds, looking for animals and things in the random patterns. Lo and behold, I start seeing not animals, but WORLDS in them! C'Mon, Tell me there's not continents in there! Import them into your favourite mapmaking program, trace around the border with a fractal tool, Hey pretso, one world!

Well it certainly looks like there are continents in those pics. Now I love fractal mapping programs and it just so happens that im using one as an aide in my planned campaign due in deep winter (June/July)
