It's OK, I'm housetrained.
I'm not really eligable for the comp, by virtue of being on the other side of the country (Sunny Western Australia). Still, since I'm a mod on a forum, I should say G'Day here huh?
Some of you are unlucky enough to know me in real life (tm) from before I moved. I cut my wargaming teeth on Necromunda - Loved it to death, though my 'Purple Avengers' Delaque gang took many a hiding... Never got into 40K though, Skirmish games had my intrest more than 'mass battle' stuff like 40K or Warhammer.
Went dormant for some time when I got a wife n kids, but discovered Two Hour Wargames, which are great solo play rules! So, Nowdays I'm pretty much a solo gamer on the rare occasion I get time to play, and very much a budget gamer. I'm looking forward to the day the kids move out, and I can start a lovely collection of minis and terrain of various periods, but until then, I play with paper minis, and whatever I can get my hands on for terrain. It's for this reason that Ash has put me in charge of the "Dirt Cheap Gaming" forum :-) (He doesn't want to call it 'Cheapass Gaming' for some reason...)
If you want to know how to game, and importantly, HAVE FUN! On a budget, just ask :-)

I love skirmish games, makes it alot more personal. Rather then having hordes of faceless troops you have a handful where every one needs to perform a task for the operation to be successful... And if the odds are against you then every model counts!
I like the idea of no points systems, more real really. Not quite balanced but who said war needs to be or is?
So planning on putting all the 'cheapass' threads on this board?
