Okay, so I'm Brent.
I also answer to [Expletive deleted -Ed.] , and even [Expletive deleted - Ed.] .
My hobby history is...
In '84 a friend introduced me to Squad Leader - a WWII game featuring highly detailed rules, counters & map-boards. Great game. Later we tried out various other wargames and RPG's. Later again I bought Heroquest - a combination RPG/tabletop battlegame. As the kid's grew older they developed an interest in Warhammer, and then 40K. The wife and I encouraged it as we had far too much money and didn't know what to do with it......yeah, right. Actually, we thought it would be good to drag the kid's away from the screen and do something where they had to use their grey matter. Anyway, about that time the LOTR movies were announced and I heard about GW bringing out a companion gaming system. I had read the books about 20 years ago and got completely hooked. Even bought MERP's, although never really played it. I'm now the owner of over 400 LOTR mini's, after buying all three games plus the entire Battle games in Middle-earth series of magazines (hence the WargamerAU name of LOTRnut!). Middle of last year the same culprit who hooked me on Squad Leader mentioned that he was getting into another WWII game - Flames of War. After checking the game out further on the 'net I now have a 1500 pt Anzac rifle company and less $ in the bank! Well, you've gotta spend it on something after all! Also have made a modular desert terrain board set consisting of 4x 2'x2' boards.
Enough rambling, back to painting...
BTW, Daniel is one of my kid's, but DON'T tell him that I told you, cos you know what teen's are like
