Well today was probably the first successful LAN that we have had at the Dice and Deck. Had a max of 12 people at different times during the day playing Dawn of War and Battlefield 2. Some other games were played but those were the main two.
There is plans to have this happen again in the next few weeks.
What games would you like to see played and participate in?
The problem with todays LAN was that lots of software was needed to installed in order for people to have the correct games on their systems so it would be cool if we could get a games list for the next time so everyone can have the apt games installed so we can get into the action faster!
I forsee LAN's becoming a big thing for the future of the D+D, why this is... well I can not say yet suffice its going to be great!

All I am saying is that LAN's will be becoming a good part of the store (people bringing in their computers and having a good time) but it will be a bit more structured....... *cough* tournaments *cough*

If you are part of the Mildura Waaagh fear not I'm sure Dodo here can get LAN's sorted... Could even turn it into a 'pride of you state' thingy too!

haha... Well my piece of 'A' only just manages Dawn of War Dark Crusade!
Its just fortunate that one very prepared member of these boards always brings a computer or 4 with him to the LANS!

To get there is a start then a place to stay would be 100% great as im not comming all the way back after gamming lol that would be EPIC FAIL lol.
My PC will play anything so im not fussed what games.
People that like FOW will fall in love with Soldiers Heroes of WW2.
FPS are better at lans and are the easyest to set up and play.
If you set one up for a SAT/SUN we could try to come over on the Friday and play 40k that night and Lan sat/sun maybe.

That would be an ideal setup Goon!
Tabletop Gaming on the Friday then LAN etc on the Saturday and Sunday.
I can put a few people up for the weekend at my place and some of the other guys might be able to do the same depending on numbers. Or better still maybe stay at the store but we will have to see what happens in regards to that (there may be legal issues or something...)

How about we ask the landlord what is happening with the shop next door, (the one with the pretty catalog wallpaper all over the windows to see if we could rent it for the week end.) There is lots of room and two extra toilets. May need to ask the council about the legal issues.
