Well I have decided to finish off my chaos with a Traitor Legion of IG. I am currently waiting for 5 tanks and have around 50 guards man to paint. I guess the spray paint will be getting used a bit here. Will get pics and will post updates.

Still working on the ven dred, only just got it out again. Learning alot of things I need to start doing, ie. Bleached bone on straight black undercoat does NOT make a good banner after one coat.
Gotta pick up a fine detail brush for the fiddle bits and some foundation blue for doing the base. Going to have a crack at an ice base.

Get some water effects too to give your ice a nice slick appearance.
I am still working on my undead army and have quite a sizable force. Ordered the army painter system last night so will be giving that a crack; it seems like a nice and slack way to paint. If the results are even half as good as they say they are I think I will have found my new style Basecoat spray: Skeleton Bone, base colors paint: weapons, armor and cloth, Dip in strong tone: with a flick to remove excess, spray anti shine varnish: similar to dull cote but in a big can!
Then just some flockiing etc and done!

Sounds cool.
I dont think water effects would look good on this type of base, You only ever really see slick ice when you're looking at the sides of glaciers or cracked up ice flows, otherwise theres snow on top.
Will probably try it when I do my ice shard forest though.

Nah I dont like the modelling snow. I'm going to try doing 3 layers of colour. So dark blue for the sides of the base, then on top and around the top edge build up to a layer of a much lighter blue with white just on top of the base.
But this is me, so it probably wont turn out all that well.
I'm not that fussed about sculpted bases, since when have I ever painted bases apart from this guy?

Mr Flappys lascannons arrived in the mail yesterday (from Sweden... wtf ) and I put together the first of five Chimeras yesterday afternoon. Four of them to go. Put the lascannons on Mr Flappy this mornin'. Every things on track... Now all I have to do is paint my own Templars in time  ;D |
