Ok. As stated in another thread im after a team thats hurty and can kill fings good!
Im guessing Greenskin teams are the way to go but there are some other 'official' lists that were introduced in the citadel journal that also might be killy.
(ill post link to them tommorrow unless someone beats me to it)
Anyways just after help deciding. I have absolutely no interest in the ball until the other team is so messed up that half a metwurst will score against them!
No star players, my team will be brand new hailing from someplace or some tribe noones heard of before. They will develop on their own over time and hopefully become half decent at putting you in the dugout... permanently.
So any suggestions?

Chaos are the most killy team there is! Warriors are probably the best overall players in the game, strong with great armour and normal agility. Choas won't even notice the ball till all the oponents are on the ground. No throwers or catchers etc, just hittin power. Ditto Nurgle Orcs are capable of playing either the ball or the man, the 4 blackorcs can make a formidable front line, while the thrower is good at picking up the ball and lobbing it to a goblin or blitzer if he needs to. At last count there were 21 races in the back of the bloodbowl rulebook, hardly any need to go hunting for more. I've played thousands of games of bloodbowl and have never used or played against a star player, there is really no need (unlike 40k etc), after a half-dozen games you'll find your favourite catcher, blitzer or blocker will have skills enough to rival most star players. They are way expensive to start with anyway. The minis are cool, so people often use them for their team as a normal player on their team.
Other suggestions for good hitty teams: dwarves, most of them have block (which stops you going down on the both down dice result= best skill of them all) and also tackle (which negates your oponent's Dodge skill), so the longbears are probably the best hitting basic linemen in the whole game. Dwarves are really slow tho, so a passing game is pretty much out of the question, if you like hitting then this may be the team for you. Norse all have block too, but are faster and less armoured. Though I've never seen them I expect Ogre teams could hand out some punishment, but using players with 'bonehead' skill might be a little frustrating! The flesh golems on a necro team can deal out some punishment, though you can only have 2, Saurus and Kroxigor can make a mess, while the skinks scamper around in the background. Kemri Mummies are increadibly powerful, and perhaps the best 'big guy' player in the game, strength 5 and you can have 4 of them! Chaos dwarves. bull centaurs and minotaurs can all block really well.

Not a huge fan of chaos. Ill be going orcs and develop them to be absolute bastards on the field! What would you suggest for a starting hurt people easy list?
Here is a summary for ogres for your pleasure:
Players:
# Position Cost MA ST AG AV Skills Traits Skills Available 0-12 Ogre 120,000 5 5 2 9 Mighty Blow, Thick Skull Throw TeamMate, Bonehead Strength 0-6 Goblin 40,000 6 2 3 7 Dodge Right Stuff, Stunty Agility
Rerolls: 70,000 Big Guys: On an all Big Guy team in the MBBL2, the Big Guy players on the team can continue to use team rerolls.
Apothecary: Standard rules
Head Coach: Standard rules
On Pitch Spellcaster: The starting spell for an Ogre Spellcaster is Smart Shot. Successful Result: For the rest of the half, a targeted player with BoneHead or Really Stupid may play as if he did not have this trait. Failure Result: The targeted player must play the rest of the half as if he had Really Stupid. Range: Any player on the pitch with BoneHead or Really Stupid Succeeds on: 3+

That Ogre team must be a little old, a trial rules verison, there is a legal Ogre teams list in the current rulebook, page 60 with the team lists. 0-6 Ogres 140,000 5 5 2 9 bonehead, mighty blow, thick skull, throw teammate 0-16 snotlings 20,000 5 1 3 5 dodge, right stuff, side step, stunty, titchy. 0-8 rerolls 70,000 legal list for current rulebook all standard rules apply. As for an Orc team I would start with something like 4 Blackorcs 4 blitzers 1 thrower 2 linemen 1 goblin 2 rerolls 3 fan factor =1000,000 this gives you 12 players so you can sit the goblin on the bench when your oponent has the ball. You could forget about the Goblin and go for 7 fan factor instead, Or you could forget about hte goblin, get 3 linemen not 2 and only 2 fan factor Hard to go wrong with an Orc list that has 4 BOs and 4Blitzers!

Oh and FTR I ~H A T E~ those evil Chaos bastards, but when it comes to blood bowl Chaos are an absolute riot of fun to play, you really get into the spirit of the hitting, forget the ball and just go at the oponents. I've got a Chaos team that's won about 6 of 7 games, has some really good players now, and even the odd mutation IIRC, so much fun just hitting while you're oponent is looking for the ball.

Yeah, that ogre list was from the bloodbowl magazine that GW did a while ago (or maybe the journal) anyways we were looking for ogre rules and had a quick flick through dannys book but could not find it...
Do you have lizardmen rules too?
I would do chaos and still may eventually but I really want a team that I can use right away with minis that I have. Cheers for the list ideas and ill prob go without the gobbo and get an extra lineman. More to hurt people with and if one of my orcs go down i have a backup!

I ended up going with: 1 Thrower 4 Blitzers 3 Blockers 3 Linemen 1 Goblin 2 Rerolls 7 fanfactor I went with less blockers to allow the extra lineman aswell as the goblin and higher fanfactor. Hopefully if I make some money I can afford a Troll, another goblin and another blocker. Ill get my kills up first to injure opponents then I may actually play some ball game later on.... But im an Orc at heart and usually play games as one so I doubt ill ever get to the ball

He he, orcs are good a the game "keepie off", just go grab the ball, go stand behind some Black Orcs with it and dare the oposition to come get it.
Team looks great on paper, after a game you should be able to afford another Gobbo, or a troll after a few. How are the minis going? Got some bits coming together? I could 'break them in' for you this weekend sometime...

Well I went through a game with danny. Well started too anyways. Well I used humans and when it came to me scoring a touchdown I thought it would be better to do something fancy and passed across the field for some fancy shenanigans. Failed that.
When I next had the ball I tried blocking and got owned for it. Gave the turnover and decided at that point on to go orcs. Orcs are great as I dont even need to play the game as footy. Can play it as wrestling!
So I gave up that game (forfeited, chucked in the towel) and plotted how to get orcs killy and here i am.
