The Dice and Deck, your friendly local (and not so local for some of you) sellers of wargaming goods is set to under go quite a drastic change.
First and for most will be the abolishment of the Loyalty Points Scheme. It was a good scheme for a while but it is felt that it could be replaced with something better. It used to be that you would have to spend in excess of $600 in order to be rewarded with something for your loyalty (in this case $40) and as such it really put the rewards out of some peoples reach for quite a while.
We reckon it would be best if a purchaser is rewarded right there and then at the point of sale so for now on the Dice and Deck has dropped the prices of all wargaming books, models, games, paints, brushes, dice, CCG's, RPG's as a matter of fact everything (besides food and drink and GW direct orders) by a minimum of 10%.
This is not for a sale but will now be the regular price you pay when making a purchase at the store.
That means a Tactical Squad of the Imperiums finest will only set you back $45, Defilers $76.50 (prob even drop it to $75) paint $5.40!!!
This means the savings that you make over the cost of an army will be quite substantial.
Membership is also going under the knife. It will still set you back a sweet tenner but the rewards will be greater such as:
A membership card which will have your name, member number and year printed on it. This will help us easier find you in our books!
Free entry to LAN's. These will be held on a Bi-monthly basis. Although open to all non members will have to pay a $5 entry fee to get in the door.
10% Discount to our tournaments making it easier to get involved in the best gaming experience of the hobby.
Entry to the monthly members draw. This draw will be held once a month on a Friday night between 6pm and 9pm. A number will be drawn and if it is your number you win a $40 Dice and Deck gift voucher. You must be present when your number is drawn to claim your prize. If the winner is not present the prize will jackpot by an additional $20 next month and so on.
Membership funds will be kept separate from store funds (except the cost of draw prize) and the left over funds will be used to give members even more benefits such as discounts on Club outings, Club Nights etc.
I think you will agree that this represents a very positive forward step for the store and the community that supports it.
