Its time again to get the motivation boat sailing.
Tale of Gamers 09 will be a fair bit different from the last one. This time it will be about you setting your own goals and the goals you set will be judged by your gaming peers of their worthyness.
This system will make it more flexible for the individual yet still not so open that you do not do enough.
You choose the system, the overall goal and then break it down into managable monthly chunks as you go. Any system can be chosen as long as it involves miniatures and has a set of rules to go with it.
It could be cool to see some new and unusual systems this time!
There will be no more 'bonus months tasks' its all you.
The dates will be set shortly but until then comment on the new format and get the ball rolling!

Now that I don't have a missus to distract me it may be time to start my American Civil War Union army.

Hmmm... looks like this one could be really interesting. LOTR, FOW, 40K, American civil War (system name?)....
I may try to find a different system. Maybe something in the Warhammer Ancients line... Wild West, Legends of the High Seas (pirates)... Maybe just some Warmachine..... Do not know yet.

Well, the next tale of gamers will see me building something very interesting... especially if you are a zombie film buff!
'Two Hour Wargames: All Things Zombie, Better Dead than Zed' is a rather awesome and inspiring set of game rules. Thepup was kind enough to let me have a look at the early version of the rules and I have now decided that they warrabt me buying them and using them as the basis for my next Tale of Gamers.
Romero's 'Night of the Living Dead' is a very iconic film. It pretty much began the Zombie Holocaust genre of movies and definately set the tone of all zombie films to come. It is full of very iconic scenes, sets and of course the zombies.
This movie will be the basis of my project.
I will build the Farmhouse and surrounding land. I will buy and paint the zombies and make some conversions for the more characterful ones. I will convert up the people hiding out.
This will be a major project and when it is all complete we can play it out!

I will of course be modifying everything to fit gaming awesomeness but I will strive to remain true to both the ruleset and the movie. This is going to be fun and I already have some really cool ideas.... magnets will be involved in regards to building the house and most importantly the windows and doors.....

Tale of Gamers 09 will start June 7 (thats a Sunday...) Full details will be posted soon. Remember its open system, open genre, open objectives. It's ala about what you want to achieve. Push yourselves each month.
Will open a sub board just as I did with the previous Tale of Gamers and you will find the posts in there soon.

Well this thing starts in june right? Thats a whole month to get my land raider done and the other minis i need for my army lists sorted out, minus the razorbacks. I can just paint the wolves when i take a break from painting so much freaking metal. Looking forward to doing the Necrons though, going to be doing them all gold lmao Dildo's Goldenrods!
