Hm im looking for a new army to start. That's different from chaos marines Anyone have a good army suggestion? And could anyone tell me the play style of dark eldar?

Do not start them yet unless you want to risk buying minis that might not have unit listings in the book that has supposed to be coming out for a while but design flaws have put it on hold.

Moral of the story is dont go Dark Eldar.
You want something different from Marines? I thought thats what your Chaos Tau were for.
Get matt to let you use his eldar army sometime and see if you like that style of play, otherwise you could try tyranids or guard.

Guy at our club, was there at the very first meeting. He stopped going and only just started again the last few weeks or so. He has Chaos Marines and a Tau Battleforce he got off someone for cheap and is converting into chaos.

Tau aren't always static either, they can be very mobile and shooty. Crisis suits, stealth suits, Fish of Fury, piranhas, kroot, vespids etc. Only Sniper Teams, Broadsides, Pathfinders and the occassional Fire Warrior squad perform best when operating as static as possible.
My army tends to be very deep striking, although i hear outflanking can be a much more effective/safe way to deploy stealth suits... i just don't like the odds (1/3) of them coming in on the wrong side of the table.
I wouldn't mind seeing a dark eldar army win some games. S&M ftw.
