Cool, tongue in cheek puzzle/arcade side "scrolling(?)" game. Aim of the game is simple: stop the zombies from eating your brains! How? Simple really...just plant some seeds and let the plants do the dirty work! Starts off with your house to the left and zombies approaching from the road on the right. You have nothing between them but your front lawn. Collect sunshine and plant up peashooters and others to take them suckers down! Great fun & well thought out. Excellent graphics & sound effects, & great time waster. There are about 50 levels covering several different areas of your yard (including the roof!). Heaps of extra mini-games and puzzles to go on with after the main game ends. Costs about $25.00 from SpinTop games, and I reckon it's worth every cent. We've had it for a month and are still working through the extras. BTW, ever seen a zombie dolphin before??? Ever played "Whack-a-zombie" Go on, download it. You can play for an hour before the demo expires.

I just spent an hour on the trial version and I must say that the game is great! It puts you in some quasi-hypnotic state as your mouse scrambles around the screen picking up Sunlight, planting plants and shrooms, digging up obsolute plants and shrooms and planting better ones all dependant on the enemy you are facing. The trial version is great and has a nice learning curve as it starts you off with the basics and takes you through the more advanced stuff. Well its not really advanced I guess I should have said specialised. You even get a go at a few of the minigames aswell such as bowling with walnuts! Good fun all round and its a pity the demo ended. I guess I will be buying the full thing as there are something like another 20 plants to try out aswell as other minigames and different locations around your yard. great mesmerising game played it alot when battling the stress of moving/new job. Nice level progression, lots of different strategies to try.
My favourite was to use garlic to push them onto a particular track, filled with spikes which would wear them down and fill the lines protected by garlic with suns, when things go wrong cherry bombs and doom shrooms are your friend!

It is awesome. I am pretty sure everyone has the full game so their experiences would be based on that.

This game is the main cause of my glacial pace at getting my pommy airborne done. I got hooked on it and found it was more addictive than painting 'Still enjoy a bash at it now and then. The missus & daughter are both back into it at every spare minute ;D It's interesting to note that there are dedicated fan websites out there... With such a following I wouldn't be surprised to see a sequel appear.
