Very early rumour ganked from the source.
------------------------- Alright boys, girls, and nameless entities to horrible to name, I just found this interesting little info on the net from Warpshadow on an upcoming nid Codex. Seems the guy spoke to Phil Kelly during GD Germany. Heres the jist ofthe info...
-4 New Tyranid species, one of which apparently will make the current fex look like a dwarf (Trygon?)
-Return of Nid Characters... Apparently they will be big creatures that have survived wthrough battlefields and evolved into something better
-Plastic Hive Tyrant (WITH WINGS!)
-Codex is already done and written by the same guy who wrote the Guard dex, models are beeing worked on I suppose and probably balancing issues (Like GW does that )
-Tyranids will have evolved ways to deal with all the mech thats been plopping up... Meaning anti tank/skimmer... I believe its implied that Biovores will once again be viable!
-Release next Year
-------------------
Following posts are speculating next March.
Having seen a few of the things that are mentioned its not too hard to believe this rumour but as always time will tell and this thread will evolve as more rumours then eventually news pops up!

Oh, and seperate Gaunt and Gant brood kits make me ever so happy. Now I will collect an army... no shooting bugs, just scythe armed fiends!!! Tyranid Warriors as Troops? Yes please, Brood Lords as upgrades for Genestealer Squads.... even better! (remember I collect and build for theme not power )

Pyschic Powers: Synapse Creature. *Note that an army consisting of more than 3 squads will only every take up 3 Troop slots. Heres more of a lowdown: Tyranid warriors are now troops which means objective claiming! With the better save and extra wound this makes them mighty cool indeed. Also 1 can be turned into a Tyranid Alpha which is a HQ unit. Genestealers are cheaper than the previous dex. No real stat changes but they can have a Broodlord as an upgrade. The broodlord is still a combat fiend and has some psychic powers. Hormogaunts price in points is nearly halved. Add to that a better initiative and leadership value this makes them some pretty sweet choices. Ravenors (now plastic) play the same roll as before but can have a few interesting options which are basically chest mounted weapons. Carnifexes can be bought in units of 1-3 for a single HS choice. The have a better BS and more Attacks than before. Similar weapons options as before. Gargoyles are cheaper than before at half the points cost as the previous dex. They are plastic and 6's to hit are auto wounds! The Trygon box set is awesome. It comes with a large oval base. Its main bulk (torso) is pretty much the same size as a carnifexes meaning some interesting conversions can be made. It can be upgraded to a better version of the Trygon (Trygon Prime) or can be built as a completely different creature; the Mawlok. The Mawklok is cool, it has hit and run, deep strikes but when it arrives if it makes contact it causes S6 AP2 hits using the large blast marker before deploying... Oh and during its movement it can elect to be removed from the table to deep strike the following turn Biovores extra leadership and better save. No 0-1 restriction. Hive Tyrant has better WS and S. More equiptment options. Hive Guard impaler canons do not need LOS to hit a target.... crazy! Tyrant Guard perform the same function as before. 1-3 in the unit. When the Tyrant they are guarding is destroyed the get Furious Charge and Rage for the rest of the battle! Lictors bought in units of 1-3, no more 0-1 restriction. Cheaper points and extra wound Deathleaper WS9 I7, rending on a 5or6. Zoanthropes now Elite choices. Venomthropes have poisoned attacks so wound on 2+. Themselves and any friendly unit within 6inches get a 5+ inv save.

That Trygon thing sounds scary. I think Tyranid players will be happy with these changes.
