Here are the changes to the membership costs and benefits:
Membership costs will remain the same at $10 a month but now you can save money by paying $50 for 6 months up front. a full half of the membership fees will be going to the Dice and Deck Store for the hiring of the club space. All other money will go into the club fund which is used to better the club space and anything else to help further the hobby in our community.
Members are the only ones with storage benefits at the club. Each member will recieve either one shelf or two draws storage space. At the moment there are a few non members storing stuff and they have till the end of May to start paying the fees or move their stuff.
Members will be the only ones who will benefit from any Dice and Deck sales and promotions including package deals on gaming goods.
Members will retain their discount on Food and Drink at the store.
Members will get access to the brand new Spray Booth.
Members will get a 20% discount on all tournaments and non fundraising events.
Computer/Console gaming nights are coming back! Members will get free admission whilst non members will have to pay the $5 fee.
The membership draw will be changing the following way: If your name is drawn and you are not present then you will get HALf of the winnings instead of none.

I presume this is so that us prospective members in Victoria dont get penalised as much? With the discount for events, I for one am definately going to become a member.

Not really. Its just what we feel makes for a good membership deal for anyone who wants to become a member. We have a few regulars from outside of renmark who can still make the price of membership worth their while.
You do not have to become a member but if you are someone from a distance but can still make it to the club every month it still has benefits. As we will be holding at least one event a month from now on and an event costs about $20 on average you are already saving $4 there, factor in food and drink, pick up a deal here and there and be in the running for the draw and it all makes sense and saves you money.
