Here are the photos as promised last night. Photobucket seems to be working again so now you can see my efforts. First up, The Army so far....  I am very pleased with the overall appearance. They do look like a uniform force (some people will say that its not orcy but I find it important with any army) The next 2 photos are of the two 20 strong mobs. They look very nice on the table top but they wont win any painting competition prizes. The whole lot was pretty much painted with and undercoat of black followed up with base colors and washes. No manual highlighting on the orcs at all but in the future I may go back over them and lighten them up a little. You may also notice that all the Boys have one blue shoe. One set on the left the other mob on the right. This allows easier definition between the 2 units as im sure they will get mashed up on the table especially in results. Because of their footwear they have been dubbed 'the One Blue Shoe Krew'. This will have to change in the future to 'Blue Shoe Krew' as the third unit is added and they will need 2 blue shoes...   Below we have my First HQ choice for the army; the Big Mek:  I am very pleased with the way the conversion turned out. If you had not seen the original models you probably would not be able to tell it was a conversion at all. The pieces all seem to seamlessly blend and that what makes it look fantastic (in my op anyways.)   Unfortunately time was running short when it came to paint the Mek and I was unable to give it the finish that I wanted too. I ended up opting for a one tone cheesy highlight on all the metal areas (especially the blue) and this is something that will definitely need to be remedied later. It still is complete however to a table standard but I would really like him to stand apart. Next month I do not have quite so much to paint so hopefully I will be able to lavish more attention on my Nobs and possibly go back to the Mek and bring him to a better standard. Anyways what do you guys think so far? |

Next month I do not have quite so much to paint so hopefully I will be able to lavish more attention on my Nob Okay, so I think slightly better wording may have been in order there! ;D  Back on the subject of your painting effort though..."top job, Nob". They look excellent.  |

Quick update!
I have nearly finished the Deffcoptas!
They look big, mean and dead killy. They have benefited from a few weapons changes and the addition of Buzzsaws and Big Bomms!
They look really cool and I'll have some pics of them up soon so you can see what I have done.
I shall soon start work on the nobs converting the Black Reach minis with weapons swaps, repositioning and all that other stuff.
After that its back to the painting table to paint this months stuff!
Hmmmm..... maybe I should start thinking about the bonus points stuff!

Hmmmm... Looks like I will be cutting it fine this month. Only 3-4 days left and I only have 50% of this months task complete (and still have not started on the bonus task!)
Sorry for the lack of pics this time but with all the changes at the store there has not been much time but now all is settled down so I can really get back into it!
I have been toying around with what to do next month. I think I will be adding another mob of boyz (in anticipation of Dodo's doubles tourney) and I might chuck in some Killer Kans..
But with Flames of War coming in store next week I'm not sure I will have the time to put those conversions together!
So spoilt for choice wargaming wise at the moment!

Lol yeah, i want to get some chaos warriors and marauders for a fantasy army, but im short on money so im having to just get my space wolves done. Playing has been good for me in modifying my final plans. atm my only worry is finding something to kill the goddam f**king chapter master on the first f**king turn so his f**king orbital bombardment doesnt kill all my f**king terminators before they can do anything.

The only thing that can kill him (especially if he is attached to something) is the advent of a new codex. GW have now got the very nasty habit of Scale Creep in terms of 'balancing armies'...
Magic the Gathering does the exact same thing. In every new block the cards are so much more broken then previous cards...
Privateer Press are much better at balance as when they bring out a new book all factions get new things at the same time!

Anyways I got this months stuff done but 1 day late!!!
Will probably upload the pics tonight but maybe tomorrow as I am bloody tired!
But now I can start my ranting about this months stuff...
Well I rreally do need more troops choices filled so this month will be another unit of 20 Boyz and a unit of Nobs and a Warboss (and another 2 Deff Koptas)..
I am hoping to get this lot done on time and still have time spare to start converting up my Kans!
More on that later...

I have finally gotten around to uploading the images! The Deffcoptas have all been painted to the standard of the rest of the army so far ie very dark lacking in real color besides the blue. When the entire army has been completed up to this table standard I will eventually go back over it to highlight it all up to be a bit brighter and vibrant but for now this is how they look:  Well here they are in their coptaish glory. There are two with twin linked rokkits, Buzz saws (the klaws and axe) and Big Bomms and one with twin linked eavy shootas. I opted for the combinations as during the battle I am bound to lose at least one to enemy fire and I will just remove the shoota. This is much cheaper than having to remove something that is kitted out!  Ahhhh... Testicles! The dangly bits are the Big Bomms and there is a Snotling ready to cut them off with his knife when the time is right! You can also see the other Big Bomm in the foreground of the pic being held by another snotling.  A closer look of TESTICLES! They are not really meant to be interpreted as testes but thats all I hear when I have been fielding them  I have 2 more which need completing to finish the squad but at the moment it is a legal sized squad and that is all that matters! |

Hmmm....
Just a quick report to bring people up to scratch.
I have achieved absolutely nothing so far this month!
I have not even really looked at my Orks...
But there is a good reason. The Dice and Deck is undergoing a rather large face lift. Two doorways have been cut through the walls into the shop next door and this allows the store to take up more space!
More space was definately required as a new game has now been picked up in store: Flames of War. Steve has ordered in quite a large shipment of blisters and boxes and I must say it all looks rather impressive!
Monday and Tuesday will be a rather busy time as the store is getting a fresh coat of paint (well two coats) and more air conditioning ducts are hopefully going in on the weekend (you know trades people....)
Still dont be disheartened fans of Gormath!
I reckon I will be able to slap something together before the deadline. Maybe a unit of Nobs would do the trick. And I think I will be getting started on a few conversions too!

Thats how mine play.
Might field Deffcoptas too but probably a little expensive for this tournament. I will take warboss, maybe a 8 man Nob Squad and as many ork boyz as possible each being led by a nob with bosspole and two boyz aremd with either big shootas or rokkits.
Will post a list soon.
